August 7, 200917 yr Wow, didn't see this one coming... http://community.foxsports.com/goodmanonfox/blog/2009/08/07/isiah_lands_potential_mcdonalds_kid_in_dominique_ferguson
August 7, 200917 yr Author Isiah Thomas must be a smooth talker or something. That is a huge get for FIU.
August 7, 200917 yr Hmmmmm....that is a real puzzler. I know kids are all about the NBA and Thomas can use that to his advantage. I guess the other thing is Thomas can guarantee playing time and Ferguson is probably thinking one and done. With the 3 recruits he has landed, it will be interesting watching Thomas' team.
August 7, 200917 yr Future trivia question: Who is the only guy crazy enough to sign on to play for both Isiah and Billy G?
August 7, 200917 yr From the Article: `He’s been in the league, has played in the league and has developed so many good players.” Like?
August 7, 200917 yr In fairness to Zeke, I never really considered him a bad coach. He was solid at Indy. When he got in to the management side of things, it became a grease fire.

August 7, 200917 yr Wow. Wouldn't be surprised to see something fishy going on down there. Zeke has been doing a good job, a real good job at landing guys. If he was at a higher tier school I would just understand it to be because of his persona, but at FIU? Something is starting to smell. From the UK side of things I think this works out great for us. A year ago and I would have been moved to tears by this, but now I think it is a good thing. It seems as if we are in good shape to land either Harrirs, Kendrick, or another top 25 forward. Ferguson has been on the down instead of being on the up, and I have heard his mental state has took a hit because of everything. Don't know if he'll get his head straightened out at Hargrave or not, but all I know is that it gives us the oppurtunity to go with someone else at the forward spot. At this time it seems like an upgrade, we'll have to see how it ends up working out in the end.
