Injuries has crippled this team and frankly it was not put together very well. The Tavaras signing for one... I think he will be back, unless they just totally quit the last couple of months and fall off the face of the earth. I do think if he is back, then Jacoby and Pole should be jettisoned. Isnt LaRussa only under a one year deal with the Cards?

I don't think those two can exist in the same clubhouse, given the way they combusted in St. Louis.

If I'm not mistaken, Bud Black is the only former pitching coach that is now a manager Interesting. Jocketty knows Oquendo also, and Oquendo is younger To me, age is almost irrelevant. I like the guy thats managing against them today. Jim Tracy did a good job in Los Angeles. Pittsburgh is a major league managerial job but its been a long time since anyone has been successful there. As for someone with no experience how about Dave Duncan the pitching coach for the Cardinals. Jocketty knows him and what he's done as a pitching coach is second to none. Dave Duncan would be one of, if not my #1 pick, for guys who are not currently major league managers.
