August 1, 200917 yr Just watched it again this morning. I've been talking in my "Billy Bob Thornton as Karl Childers" voice today and Mrs. TTC is probably getting a bit weary of it. I think I'm going to go to McDonalds and git me some of them there french fried potaters. It's hard not to. The first time I saw it, I did the voice for a good week afterward.

August 2, 200917 yr I've seen Sling Blade about 20 times. At work we speak in movie lines a lot, and Sling Blade, Full Metal Jacket, and Pulp Fiction have all the main lines. One of Thorton's best rolls, but I have to say that I am more amazed by Yokum's performance. Most cross over actors are not that good, but Yokum does a great job, and I am surprised by his performance every time I watch it.

One of Thorton's best rolls, but I have to say that I am more amazed by Yokum's performance. Most cross over actors are not that good, but Yokum does a great job, and I am surprised by his performance every time I watch it. Yoakam is excellent any time he is on the silver screen. He even excels in minor roles such as "Red Rock West" and "Roswell".
