Three More Wildcats Dismissed

Featured Replies

Are the same people griping about letting walk-ons go the same people that were so anxious to get rid of the scholarship players to make room for the stud recruits?

Good point.

Disappointed that a senior was dismissed. It seems that no one would have been hurt for him to have sat the bench one more year and get his senior night.

Very disappointed and might speak volumes to the character of the person making this decision.

UK might be the only bunch of fans in the world where everyone gets all bent out of shape over a bunch of walk-ons.

There are thousands of KY high school basketball players who would love to walk on at UK. Most of them would work very hard, be good teammates, good students, etc. These kids got a chance to do that under Gillispie. They should embrace the opportunity they were given.

Calapari is a class guy because he had the guts to make the move that is best for the program in his opinion. He didn't try to run them off or disrespect them by letting them be in the Cat's Pause and then not doing any more than the managers in practice. He called them in, told them his vision for the program and let them know that he and his staff would help them get to a place that CAN use their talent and ability. Real leaders aren't afraid to make these types of changes because they KNOW that it is in the best interest of the program.

Some people are really over reacting about this. Come on...these guys can handle being cut from the team. Their life isn't over...

Only a jerk like Cal would cut a walk-on about to be a senior, but then again nothing surprises me with that man.
