July 30, 200917 yr Done,Done,Done......... no need to trade any starting pitching away. trade Rhodes and weathers and EE. Bring up some young kids so we can at least watch players play inspired ball. 1 hit tonight. This current team just doesnt care any more.
July 30, 200917 yr The Reds need a SS.CF, and a power hitting OF for next year. Get rid of Hernandez also.Keep Votto,Bruce, and BP. Look for upgrade everywhere else.

I can think of 20 million mighty good reasons to trade Harang and Arroyo...for whatever they would bring...if anything
July 30, 200917 yr Author I hope Westsider understands why we were so excited about Monday night's win now.
July 30, 200917 yr Went to the game and my highlight tonight was seeing Rose in the stands. Same here.
July 30, 200917 yr I'm about to head out to the businessman's special! Got $5 tickets. I'm sure there will be plenty of open seats.
July 30, 200917 yr I can think of 20 million mighty good reasons to trade Harang and Arroyo...for whatever they would bring...if anything Unfortunatley, it is those same 20+ million reasons why other teams don't appear to be showing much interest in them. Reds would almost undoubtedly have to eat part of their salaries and I don't think they'd be willing to do so.
July 30, 200917 yr Cincinnati has plenty of quality arms for the bullpen. Most of which are more highly regarded than Manuel. It's a low risk, high reward type situation. This guy was once thought of a a pretty solid prospect. His minor league numbers are similar to those of Nelson Cruz. It's unlikely we'll ever see that kind of production out of him, but its a chance a small market club like Cincinnati has to take. Hard to say what will be left of the bullpen come the end of this year. I'm tired of the Reds chasing possible "prospects", re-treads, and great "minor league" players. They need some real ballplayers on this team if they are ever to compete.
July 30, 200917 yr about to lose their 6th time out of 7 games to the lowly Padres. The Padres didnt have 1 player hitting .260 in the lineup today, but have pounded Reds pitching this series. The Reds have given up, no heart.

Walt doesn't have a lot to work with....having 35 million dollars tied up in three players really puts a hurting on your abilities to get quality players. Especially when two of the three have 4.5+ ERA's. And having 12 million tied up in a closer is stupid. Poor decisions by previous managment will hurt the Reds for a few more years.

What are some of the good decisions he has made? Taveras? Lincoln? EE?
July 30, 200917 yr What are some of the good decisions he has made? Taveras? Lincoln? EE? 1. I never said Walt has made good or bad decisions....my post was about previous management 2. Lincoln and EE were not his doing So i'm not even sure what you're trying to say
