Reds lead the Padres 6-3 at the end of 6 1/2. Gomes has gone deep twice, Phillips has homered, as has Encarnacion. Bailey has pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits, 3 earned runs, walking one, and striking out 4.

Are you guys serious? It's just the Padres?

This Reds fan will take whatever win he can get. I'd sure love to sweep the Padres. I'm also pumped to see Homer Bailey pitch well again, regardless of who we're playing.

Was it just me or did Votto not look happy?

I heard he got thrown out, but I didn't see it. I'm assuming he was arguing balls & strikes? That also breaks his 2nd solid hitting streak since his return. Hopefully he'll get enough AB's & qualify to be considered for the AVG. Pretty sure he'd be leading the NL right now.

This Padres team is missing a lot of players from when they swept the Reds.

And so is the Reds team that was swept by the Padres.

Wonder if the Reds will be selling off some guys before the week is over, and if so whom? Rholdes, Wheaters? Anyone heard any rumors?

Is there any reason Ronald Mcdonald made the team out of spring training instead of Gomes? Do people in the organization think fans are really dumb?

Dunn hit is 26th tonite. Fortunately, we're better off with our small ball team.

Votto is the next to go. He obviously is a loser since the Reds are doing even worse than they did with Dunn.

Malachi?
