I would assume the fee for Western to lease LP Field would be comparable. LP holds 68,000 and UK fans would fill it. Even at $35 to $40 a ticket (UofL charges $45 for single game tickets) that's a huge payday. Sorry Jim, it is all about the money.

Since UK likes to condescendingly look upon all the other schools in the state as its younger siblings, a gesture of good will and benevolence on the part of the royal university shouldn't be too much to ask. Plus, it would by default become one of the hottest tickets ever in Kentucky. They would, by necessity, have to bump up their ticket cost for most seats to help make up for what would be missed out on at a larger stadium. But the fans would gladly pay it. There would have to be some discount for the more loyal season tix holders there, as well as for students (who still get in free, right?), but the scarcity of the tickets will make them a hot item.
July 31, 200917 yr UK has nothing to gain by playing Western at all. Yes they do. They gain a win over a BCS school. That is what UK has become good at getting wins against mid major BCS schools that gets them into a bowl game.
July 31, 200917 yr Smith from Boyle Co.? I thought he was playing LB at WKU.:idunno: You are somewhat correct. Western has or had 2 Brandon Smiths on their team. The linebacker was from Lincoln County. He might have been a Sr. on last years team, I'm not sure.
