July 31, 200917 yr While I think UK has more to lose than WKU does in this series, I see it as a win-win for both. UK schedules an infant D-1 team, which is likely a win. After roughly 30% is taken out from expenses, WKU will get 60% of the profit in the games in Nashville, and UK 40%. UK pays WKU $500K to play in Lexington, much less than what other teams ask for. UK opens this year at PBS in Cincy and plays at LP Field in two years -- both NFL venues, which is attractive to both players and fans. UK gets their brand and play into both Cincinnati and Nashville, where it can be tought to recruit because of the competition. UK has a series scheduled for four years. Mitch Barnhart talked about how tough it is becoming to create a schedule due to BCS balance and cost. This takes care of both. The Nashville Sports Council, who is managing the games in Nashville, also run the Music City Bowl. And UK already has a good history with the Music City Bowl. I like the move for several reasons
