No, his father is from Frankfort. Dad was a walk-on for UK's JV basketball team (back in the day). His mother is a Grimes. 1st cousin to Michael and Robbie Grimes.

I had a nephew rupture his spleen about 12 years ago. I can't remember how long the recovery was but it's not fast.
