July 4, 200917 yr Dusty's ego cost the Reds this one. Should never have pitched to Albert in either circumstance. Unintentional walk in the 8th and a free pass in the 9th and they are in the game and still leading. Have to swallow your pride and put the game's best player on base both times.

July 4, 200917 yr Totally Dusty fault. No way Weathers should face Pujols after two walks to get to Pujols. You have to bring in Masset or why not Corderoor leave Bailey in. They had plenty of time to have him ready. The save does not always happen in the ninth inning. Who would not rather had Burton pitch to Pujols than Weathers. You have to get Pujols out with stuff instead of trying to trick him. Someone please tell Dusty that Pujols is MR. MVP. This is why the Reds are the Reds and could be a season changing loss. Terrible!!!! I wish Dusty would never manage another game!!!!
July 4, 200917 yr Hernandez most likely won't be back next year. That's part of the reason why I'd like to package him & somebody for a bat / SS.The Orioles traded Hernandez for Ryan Freel and a couple of no-name minor leaguers. What makes anyone think the Reds will get anything of value for him? He's an aging catcher with a big contract and a barely over .700 OPS in Cincinnati.

July 4, 200917 yr Author Pujols is 9 - 18 against Weathers. Why would you put Weathers in that type of situation? Because Dusty has to have Rhodes and Weathers in the 8th, no matter the situation. He doesn't know how to manage.
