Track the Reds (Week 13)

Featured Replies

I know the loss was deflating last night but as a Reds fan I'm excited to see Homer throw like he did and realize that you can put him, EV, and Cueto in the rotation for a while and be in good shape.

Secondly, for those concerned about Homer's attitude, him walking up to Weathers last night with a "hang in there" should put that to rest.

Are you sure he wasn't pointing to the shower when he said that?

I agree 100%. Homer's outing and attitude was very, very encouraging. If Encarnacion can put up the numbers he is capable of putting up for the 2nd half of the season, and the Reds can trade Arroyo and a prospect or two for a shortstop or another right handed bat for the outfield, I would feel very good with a rotation of Harang, Volquez, Cueto, Bailey and Owings for the 2nd half of the season. With the way the Central has gone all year, you never know how things might turn out.

I'm sure you're kidding, but here was Bailey's quote after the game.

"For any starter, if they come out of the game it's very tough," Bailey said. "You always want to be back out there. There's no one I would ever want out there besides the two guys who followed me. It's just sometimes how baseball works."

Willy Taveras back in the lineup today. Gomes was red hot during interleague play and then Dusty cools him off so he can keep Taveras in the lineup. When will management learn that Dusty is killing this team. People can say he has had injuries and he is still just 3 games back. Give us a different manager and we might be 5-7 games up with everyone starting to get healthy. Fire Dusty!!!!!

He was in the lineup and had 2 hits yesterday. Gomes shouldn't play against a RHP to often.

Dusty is doing anything but kill this team..

You left a word out or put in a wrong word, I think. I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say.

How much longer does Bruce get the free pass from the fans? You got to score runners from 3rd with less than 2 outs.

I am more than pleased with his defense, but he is (should be) better than a sub .220 hitter.

E5 actually looked surprised that there was a runner on 2nd base when the pitcher laid down the SAC.
