As someone else noted, she leaves herself open for the microscope by flying off the handle. It's the nature of the beast, good, bad or indifferent. And stop acting like it's a crime to not kiss UK's heinie. Forde has no obligation to write flowery puff pieces about UK or Calipari. Erin Calipari has no obligation to write good things about Pat Forde either. She can choose to write what she wants, when she wants to. I applaud her for sticking up for her father. If my dad were under such false scrutiny, it is safe to say that my mouth would not be shut either. Nobody talks about my father. Guess you didn't read my earlier post. Sure it has nothing to do with your hatred of all things UK. It's her dad for crying out loud. She has every right to mouth about Forde, just like he has every right to write what he wants She can say whatever she wants. Doesn't mean it's a good idea. Sometimes, discretion is the better part of valor. And I don't have a "hatred of all things UK." I'm just a fan of a different team, and don't allow myself to get caught up in the lovefest.

Of course Tubby was different, but that's for another thread. And yes, Pat Forde has been attacking Cal his whole career. It doesn't strengthen your argument by shifting the focus away from the topic. We've all acknowledged that other schools have nutjob fans.
May 30, 200917 yr I like her comments much better than Saul Dogs, bet she could whip him as well, maybe outplay him in basketball to. You say that in jest, but the fact is Saul Smith would've made a difference of about 6-7 games this past year for UK, given how weak their PG situation was.

Not to get off subject in this post and feel sorry for my self that I have to say this but Saul would of been a big help for UK last year. Hes a solid pg that could of at least set us up on an offense last year. I am not a fan of Saul but he could've helped, heck, anyone with handles could've helped, sure couldn't of hurt.

Much worse was being said about RB back then. I was reading in another thread where someone was talking about Mitch not telling Todd about Rich's history of NCAA problems when it was what one. Talking about taking things out of context.

The only reason you feel that way is because you don't experience the other fanbases on a regular basis, and you would never fathom that UofL fans can be just as irrational as UK fans. 2) Pitino has proven to have questionable character many a times, even staunch UK hater Jim Schue will tell you that. 3) If you can't see that the 2 situations are completely different then there is no need continuing with this.... 1) I absolutely know there are UL fans as irrational as UK fans. You might want to read some of my defense of Coach Kragthorpe. You really tick me off when you say that I don't fathom that. You might also go back and read all the defense I posted for Coach Brooks back in the day when UK wasn't doing well in football. I don't defend lightly. I'm stating my opinion on this situation. I haven't slammed the UK program, nor any of the players, etc. I'm stating my opinion on this situation. 2) Has Pitino REALLY proven to have a questionable character? Or have people made assumptions? I don't care what Jim Schue says. As much as I like him, and as much as I may agree with him on some things, I don't get my opinion of anyone from Jim Schue. Of course, if you prefer to look to others for your opinions, that's certainly your right. I happen to think that Pitino isn't perfect. But the only people I see harping about it are people who never have any hard evidence to back it up. 3) The situations are different to you because Erin is a hottie and is going to go to UK, and Coach Cal (to date) is the Savior Apparent of the Mecca of Basketball. You refuse to acknowledge that UK fans are ever out of line, or that Erin will have a hard time dealing with that if Coach Cal doesn't live up to or exceed the minimal expectations of the UK fanbase.
