May 30, 200917 yr Well, I'm not really one the unrealistic fans that so many Louisville fans on here seem to hate. Should she have gotten on Facebook and said the things she said? It's up to you to judge that. She didn't really say anything horrible about Forde, didn't call him any names or use any profanity. She made fun of his hair, not really something that she should be chastised for. And also, she's 22 years old, she's not always going to handle herself like a mature 40 year old woman. Considering the circumstances, she really didn't say anything that bad/ Does that make me a jabbering crazy UK fan? FWIW my mom's a lowly lawyer in Louisville and if someone bad mouthed her, I'd probably act worse than Erin Calipari did.

As I said before, if it were my parent, I'd say a lot worse. But I guess Schue, RM and all of the other UL fans that claim it was bad are more level headed and soft tempered than us crybaby immature Kentucky fans that take everything personally. And no, for me it has nothing to do with her being good looking, if they were my Facebook updates and were posted on here with the thread title: "BigSpikes unloads on Pat Forde" you know what people would say about them? Nothing. Sure, she probably shouldn't have done it over the computer like that, because every aspect of her life is examined with a fine toothed comb, or whatever, but it's her father, imagine how you would feel if your father was Calipari and you ahd to put up with this. Give it a rest, Pat Forde isn't beating himself up over this and neither should any of us. On a side note, Pat Forde has written several articles since Coach Calipari's hiring that are written in a negative light. Who can view these articles? Anyone in the world that cares to? It is, but when it seems one reporter seems to have a vendetta or hidden agenda against your parent, what are the chances that with each new article published you keep your tongue? It gets extremely hard when time and again your father is getting blasted. Yes Erin is held to a different standard than your average basketball fan, but that does not mean she isn't human.

Not like another high profile coaches child, who will remain nameless, that when Coach X was taking some heat for alleged wrongdoings, drug up and left town without a peep.

I would hate to think that I wouldn't respond the same way in the given situation. I love her spunk also. Did she open herself up for media scrutiny? No doubt. The media is ready to jump on anything that can be news and is very vindictive. I dont believe that she is truly ignorant of the pressures to come from fans. I would have somewhat been on the other side except he seems to have a vendetta against her father. As long as she realizes the repurcussions, I say let him have it!
