I have no problem with what Forde writes. I understand that's his job, but trying to compare Calipair's daughter to the average UK fan is a bit extreme don't you think?

 

Both seem to wear their emotions on their sleeves. Seems a fair comparison to me.

My father has been in that position, albeit on a far less widespread basis. I bit my tongue, as difficult as it was. As someone else noted, she leaves herself open for the microscope by flying off the handle.

Erin Calipari has no obligation to write good things about Pat Forde either. She can choose to write what she wants, when she wants to. I applaud her for sticking up for her father. If my dad were under such false scrutiny, it is safe to say that my mouth would not be shut either. Nobody talks about my father.

Heres the thing. I understand him writing a negative article about Calipari. But he does it all the time. And he does it about whoever is coaching UK. Thats what he does. I'm a UK fan and support my team and am annoyed by that. If he had a bunch of articles criticizing UCLA or Texas I would think man thats dumb or that he just really don't like them.

You mean when/if UK fans start saying things that Erin may not like about Coach Cal, it's OK? When letters to the editor appear on the HL website? When people post that stupid stuff they always do in the comments under an article? After some of the stuff I've seen out there by UK fans about Coach Brooks, Coach Smith, Coach Gillespie, I feel certain that whatever Forde writes in a professional capacity pales in comparison to some of the mean-spirited nastiness of those comments.
