May 23, 200917 yr You know 'Bron is going to get the ball. How does he get that open? Especially after giving up the rock in game one. Lot has been put into the Magic letting him get that wide open, but I believe it was just a good job by Lebron to get himself open. All he had was a split second step on the defender and it was basically just a catch and shoot, from deep.
May 23, 200917 yr He pushed off......:sssh: Lebron is a beast, he pushed off and got open, just like Jordan did against the Jazz. He is awesome!!! I want Lakers vs. Cavs and Cavs to win it all!!!
May 23, 200917 yr The look on his face is like a highschooler hitting a game winning shot. That's cool. You could tell Lebron didnt think it was going in by the look of the shot and his clear split second of doubt once as landed. But once it rattled in. . . thats when all the exitement hit him all at once.:jump:
May 23, 200917 yr Just got in about 30 minutes ago from the game, couldn't sleep, so I decided to come on here real quick and give my thoughts on the game. I have been staunch in my prediction that the Cavs will win the NBA title, I didn't really think that the Magic would give the Cavs much trouble, but I take that back now. They are a very good team and proved tonight that they don't need their superstar to have a great night to be in a ball game. Z played very well today in defending Howard and keeping him from getting easy looks at the basket. Turkoglu, Lewis and Pietrus have all done a phenomenal job in this series shooting from three and have taken a lot of the scoring burden off of D-Howard. Mo Williams really stepped up in the second half, hitting several clutch shots to keep them in the game. LeBron had 35 points, but you wouldn't really know that he had that kind of game, he just didn't really seem to be a factor for the first 47 minutes and 59 seconds of the game. But then he hit the shot, his signature moment that will be remembered for a long, long time. Remember all of the Air Jordan Commercials where we see Jordan hitting the shots against Cleveland and in Game 6 of the 98 finals to win it all? Well, LeBron had his first Air-Jordan type moment tonight. I know a lot people will say they said the same thing, but during that time-out before LeBron's shot, I turned to CatsCatsCats and said: "LeBron hits a walk-off three." Being as big a Cavs fan as any, he just looked and shook his head. When that shot hit, you would have thought 20,562 people had just hit the lottery. The Q erupted and went absolutely crazy. I didn't have much of a stake in the game-I am a Celtics fan-but I found myself rooting like heck for the Cavs and being elated when LeBron hit that shot. Whether you're a Kobe fan or a LeBron fan, you watch that play and have to think it was awesome. Anyone that is a basketball fan would love that-unless you're a Magic fan, of course. Also, for those who said they don't know how LeBron could get that good of a look, I was listening to ESPNXtra on XM on my way home and Stan Van said that they had been preparing for a back screen and a lob for LeBron situation, they were completely caught off guard by LeBron spotting up and that he did not put any blame on Turkoglu or any other player, but that he put it on himself for not preparing for that. Great game, great series, great playoffs. The NBA playoffs is truly where Amazing happens.
May 23, 200917 yr I heard Lebron say that 1 second isn't a lot of time for some people, but it's a world of time for him. IF that's so, why hasn't he started taking over games in the final minutes, and taking last second shots instead of dishing it off to his teammates. To me, that's what seperates Kobe from Lebron. Kobe fears no one or no thing.
May 23, 200917 yr I was watching the game with a few friends and after Hedo hit the shot with 1 second left my die hard Kobe friend just went on and on about how much better Kobe was than LeBron. The look on his face when Lebron made that shot...PRICELESS!
May 23, 200917 yr Great game, tremendous shot. I was shocked that the called traveling in the final minute on Lebron. Sure, he traveled and it was the right call, but how often do they actually call traveling in the NBA period, much less in the final minute when just about anything goes?
May 23, 200917 yr At this point, I would not be surprised or shocked if any of the 4 remaining teams. It's anyone's ball game and they are all capable of winning it all, IMO.
May 23, 200917 yr No doubt. I was sitting thinking......this game is over....isn't it. Then I saw LeBron catch the ball......:notworthy::isurrender::notworthy: I looked at my brother and Big Spikes in disgust. The whole arena was the same way. But then I saw how the Cavs were setting up. I knew if LeBron was going to shoot they were going to win. Howard would have knocked down a lob pass. Lebron is the greatest. By far, in the league right now. It's really not even close right now. Was this one of the great playoff games of all time? I think so... Didn't feel like it till it was over. But, I'd say not the best, but one of the better ones. You know 'Bron is going to get the ball. How does he get that open? It is evident when you watch him first hand that you cannot deny LeBron the ball. Until someone is big and fast enough to guard him he can get the ball at any time. You really can't deny him the ball. He pushed off......:sssh: I heard Lebron say that 1 second isn't a lot of time for some people, but it's a world of time for him. IF that's so, why hasn't he started taking over games in the final minutes, and taking last second shots instead of dishing it off to his teammates. To me, that's what seperates Kobe from Lebron. Kobe fears no one or no thing. I would say he took over game 1. 49 points, scored about all the Cavs points in the 4th. The Magic just continued making plays after bad Cavs rotations. LeBron makes the right play most of the time. Whether it is a shot from him or a wide open kick to a teammate. He isn't afraid to take the winner, which is evident last night, but he wants the best shot possible. That is what seperates him from Kobe. I was watching the game with a few friends and after Hedo hit the shot with 1 second left my die hard Kobe friend just went on and on about how much better Kobe was than LeBron. The look on his face when Lebron made that shot...PRICELESS! Kobe isn't better than LeBron, I would have loved to have been there. Actually, me and Spikes and my brother got interviewed for one of those Vitamin Water commercials. I don't know if we will be on a commercial or not but they did interview us. All in all, I still don't feel like the Magic should beat the Cavs. They do have the perfect style to beat the Cavs though. The Cavs play great defense, but it is in a style that involves alot of help defense. Help defense kills you against the Magic because of their endless amount of spot shooters. I think the Cavs just need to play straight up and make the Magic beat them with 2's, and hedge rather than switch ball screens. That is what they did in the first half and it worked. The switches give them really bad matchups. I think the shot MAY have changed the series. I think it really may change LeBron's career as well. People act like he isn't elite at the end of games. I say he is as good as anyone. I think the distance between him and everyone else playing right now increases everyday. It really won't be long until people start saying, who is the next LeBron James.

Sure, he traveled and it was the right call, but how often do they actually call traveling in the NBA period, much less in the final minute when just about anything goes? I was shocked too, but after the replay they really had to call that. I think he took about 10 steps. :thumb: But, overall the officials have been horrible in this series, so they should have just let it go I guess. Wait and see if Hedu doesn't get a foul for pushing of in the next game.

He isn't afraid to take the winner, which is evident last night, but he wants the best shot possible. That is what seperates him from Kobe. Here we go again. I seem to recall that until LeBron made that shot, he made a few mistakes too many at the end of last night's game and game 1. He has missed multiple free throws in the 4th quarter of both games. He hes turned the ball over multiple times in the 4th quarter as well. He also didn't take the last shot in game 1 either. The only things that separate him from Kobe are his athletic ability and his age. Other than that, they are identical. Kobe's afraid to take the game winner???? Are you serious??? He didn't even bad mouth Phil or walk off the court like Pippen for drawing up the play for Fisher. Kobe doesn't want the best shot possible??? You're right, he wants the worst shot possible. Kobe made all the right plays at the end of game 1 when he made all of his free throws in the 4th quarter and had 18 points to close out the 4th quarter. He also made all the right plays except for 1 in the 4th quarter of game 2 when he lost the ball and caused a jump ball that Ariza slipped and lost the ball on. Before that he singlehandedly erased a 5 point deficit by hitting a jumper in Melo's eye and hands and then hit a 3 in Melo's eye and hands. Kobe has been nothing short of phenomenal in the 4th quarter this series. This is where your hatred for Kobe ruins your sensibilities. Right now it's Lakers-Nuggets...Cavs-Magic not Kobe vs. LeBron. Plus the Nike MVP commercials are funnier when Kobe takes the lead of the commercial. Have you seen my 3 championship rings??????

Plus the Nike MVP commercials are funnier when Kobe takes the lead of the commercial. Have you seen my 3 championship rings?????? No, no, no, no, no. You read what I said wrong. I said that the difference in the two at the end of the game is that no matter what Kobe is going to take it and LeBron is going to take it unless someone is open. Kobe didn't draw up the play and I don't know if he would bad mouth Phil anyway. Had he had the ball, he would have took the shot, doubled or not. And there is a very good chance that he would have made it. And if you're going to talk about LBJ's mistakes, point out Kobe dribbling off of Nene's foot when they needed a basket, and that resulted in the jump ball. That lost the game for all intensive purposes. Nothing LeBron did lost either game. They have both played well down the stretch in these series. And to be honest with you Kobe has been as clutch as ever in this series overall. They are not identical. Their games are totally different. You cannot look at any part of thier games and say they are identical other than they are similar in how many ppg. they put up. That is insane, whether you are a Kobe fan, a LeBron fan, or even a neutral fan. They play nothing alike. LeBron is on a different planet from Kobe. Like I've said all along, Kobe is a better shooter that's it. LeBron is equal to or better at all other facets of the game, including being Kobe's equal in the clutch. Once again, I don't hate Kobe, just the way Kobe fans act. Kobe is a great player, and has played amazing in this series. I love to point out his flaws on here because Laker/Kobe fans get so amped up about it. I can point out LBJ's flaws as well. In the 4th quarter yesterday, he was a little passive and wanted to take the jumper rather than going to the basket, where he is unstoppable. As for the rings, Kobe has none without Shaq. Say what you want, but had Shaq never have played with Kobe he would have ZERO titles right now. Shaq needed Kobe and Vice-versa, but had they not been teammates this argument wouldn't exist. LeBron is much younger, I think he will get 3 rings before he's done, and I doubt he will ever play with a dominant post player like Shaq (even if somehow he played with DHoward). And we all know that he (LeBron) has never played with a HOF. The titles that Kobe won were great, but it's not like it's something LeBron couldn't have done had they traded places. I don't get how people can throw that out. What year, besides possibly this one, did the Cavs have a team capable of winning a title? What year? Who's the best player LeBron has played with? Where do Mo Williams, Big Z, Ricky Davis, Anderson Varajao and etc. rank on the all-time greats list? Mo is probably about what? 1500 maybe? Big Z? Championships are won by great teams, and even sometimes that's not enough. Remember Stockton and Malone? I will take Stockton over Ron Harper or Malone over Robert Horry, but who has more titles. The titles are not irrelevant, but they simply cannot completely make anyones argument for why Kobe is better than LeBron.
