I think it was a good move for the Bengals when you look at it like that. I think the Bengals either go OT or trade back which might not be a bad move if they aren't sold on the OT's. I think they need to upgrade their pass rush myself. They have their guy in the middle now with Tank. I wonder how much temptation they have to take Lariniatus if they trade back? If they take Beany Wells that early then I will be officially done with them on the spot! That would be an awful pick IMO! Moreno will be the 1st back gone I think. I don't think signing Tank is bad. I think their spot in the draft is kinda tricky. If the Andre Smith saga never occurred, then they'd be sitting pretty. However, with his issues, is he still a top 10 pick? Is Oher good enough to be a top 10? The other options are defensive ends, which they have a lot of money already tied up in Geathers and Odom, and wide receivers, which do they really need a WR in the first round? If they were known for good drafts, then I'd say it'd be wise to trade down and get another pick, but we all know how their drafts have gone. However, I still can't wait for the 25th to see what they do.

Hopefully the won't be tempted at all. I think he was one of the most overrated players in college football, and I don't expect him being that special in the pros. If they were to trade back I would want them to only go so far back that they get Ray Magulaga. (sp.) I know I am in the minority here, but if one of the top two tackles are not there by the time they pick. Then I don't want them taking one. At that point you really need to look at if Andrea Smith or the Mississippi guy are better than what they have now. And IMO those two would not be an improvement over Collings, and Whitworth if we move him to tackle. I mean I really don't think either of the other two would be upgrades over them, and Whitworth has proven he can play tackle. I would keep Collins at Left tackle and move Whitworth to right. I think he could be dominant there like Willie was in his prime. I just don't think that pick would be worth taking a tackle if the top two are gone. I mean if the top tackles are gone, then they basically are going to have to reach for any pick at that time, and I rather it not be tackle. I would rather them reach a little bit on a Ray, if they can't trade down. The bengals would have a chance to really establish their defense for a long time with that, because they need a middle linebacker. Dhani Jones is getting up there in age. I really think that would be the best for the Bengals, if they don't get one of the top two tackles.

As for your question, my answer to that would be no, they have not learned anything and if they haven't by now (should have long ago) then imo they never will, the Bengals have to be the worst ran organization in Pro Football. Most people "take out the trash", as long as Marvin Lewis along with the current managment/administration are in place with the Bengals they will continue to "bring trash in" and be the joke of the NFL.

You see, once you become a criminal you mutate into some foul beast that is somehow subhuman and eternally deserving of scorn even if you keep your nose clean, pay your taxes on time and help old women cross the street.

April 8, 200917 yr I would love to see the Bengals draft Andre Smith from 'Bama. His stock is dropping, but he still has the potential to be a very, very good lineman in the NFL for a long time. I know he was suspended for the bowl game, but I do not hold that against him at all. That shouldn't affect his draft status at all, IMO. Him leaving the combine is somewhat questionable, but I think Smith has proven that he's a legitimate tackle on the college level and I think he'd translate well in the NFL. Great size & very talented.
