It isn't because of the record, it is because of the intensity they have exhibited so far. I know that X and Elder would have beaten us no matter the situation, but the LN loss and even the Manual win didn't leave me terribly impressed with their intensity and dedication.

 

Again, I know there is tons of fire in the juniors on down, but the seniors have to step up. Next year will be a good year I know that, but unless someone on this team really steps up then I don't know how far they can go.

I wasn't at the 2 Ohio games so I am not 100% sure on the injury situation. I know Kragthorpe has been out and I am pretty sure the Xavier Thomas is still out. Both players would be a potential source of leadership on the field. I know in the LN game that after Krags went out the team played much differently on both sides of the ball.

Trinity's 2nd team played more inspired than the 1st group. It appears to me that my hope after the loss to Lawrence North, that the seniors would be part of the solution and not the problem, is not happening. I hope the coaching staff nips the poor attitudes and poor leadership of the senior class in the bud before this next game. Otherwise, 1 and 4 is a certainty with 1 and 5 to follow. I'm never in favor of shelving kids, but poor attitudes and finger pointing can not be tolerated no matter who it is. For the sake of the program bad apples need to go.

I thought I already said something along those lines? Was I not clear enough? The talent doesn't seem to be there with the seniors, which is fine because this sort of thing is cyclical. We can't have dominant teams all the time. I think we only have 23 seniors as it is. On top of that though there seems to be a chemistry issue that is rooted in the seniors. The more the juniors step up and take the leadership roles the better this team will be. It just is going to take time.

Define pointing fingers. Is explaining a situation inherently pointing a finger? If so then I suspect there are many fingers pointing in many situations.

 

I know we will be fine in the upcoming seasons, I have heard nothing but great things about the underclassmen. I had heard rumors about this senior class, but I was willing to see what they could do. So far it looks like what I had heard was correct.

Chemistry issues can hurt a squad and it is as simple as that. I am not the only Shamrock to notice it, I am just the only one who has posted it in here. I will cheer for the Rocks to win no matter who they play or who is starting. I will proudly wear my Green and White. It doesn't mean that I cannot keep a realistic view of what to expect from each squad.

I'm sure some are dismissed from the team, or leave on their own, & go elsewhere to play. Those that stay have won their last game 7 out of the last 9 years...
