Boyle was suppose to play their first 7on7 tonight. Anyone have any info?

:scared: Only Four Home Games! That's got to hurt the money situation.

 

Overall a good schedule and pretty interesting in it's diversity. I don't recall if Boyle played Pikeville before unless it was around 2000 or so. I'm pretty confident in saying that they have never played Johnson Central or Christian County (but I could be wrong again. ) Rockastle is a familiar old foe from playoff days of the 90's and early 00's.

 

I had heard that the Danville game was being pushed towards the middle of the schedule. I remember when it was the last game of the year and that was always a great way to wind up the season.

 

Plus, without thinking in money terms, one game is at Mercer, another at Danville which is not too far away from home at all. East Jessamine is not that far of a ride and I plan on going to every game anyways, so it doesn't bother me at all.

 

Especially if we have 4 home playoff games......:clap:

I did make it to see a little of the 7 on 7 with Lincoln. It was hard to tell much. I thought Boone Goldsmith looked pretty good they seemed to work on long plays down the sidelines quite a bit. The Givan and Talbott kids made some really nice catches both long and short. If French and company can find some receivers and defensive backs they will be a hard football team to beat.

Historically I think French prefers a running team. He certainly would not throw as much as the Smith/Pardue teams did during the run. I recall that even when they had great backs like Quinn and Givhan, the Smith teams still played pretty balanced ball.

Hatz I agree....Boyle will be a very good balanced team, stop the run they pass. Stop the pass they run. I think Boyle's first option will be to run the ball. The Rebels has players that will step up in the reciever position. Overall as a team I think the defense is what will suprise everybody. With Lamar roaming the field and Grant in the trenches, Boyle will not need to score many points.

I think that's always been the hallmark of the best Boyle teams in any era. The defense was always key. :thumb:
