The road to 1A on the east side will run through Lexington, literaly. LCA has Raceland at home and all playoff games would be played in Lexington, except for the for the final one.

 

I agree, this district imo will belong to LCA. Raceland has LCA in Lexington this season and with LCA imo being one of the two best in all of class A that will be a tough task for the Rams.

 

Let's not get too carried away. This was said about LCA last year, but they couldn't get past Hazard (& barely got by Raceland).

Well said, Bluto, but even you would have to admit that going into '09, LCA is the cream of 1A football. I am not taking anything away from the defending champs but you guys are loaded! :notworthy:

Now, having had a good laugh, I stand by my previous post. It's true that LCA has a lot of potential.

 

But potential simply means: "YOU AIN'T DONE IT YET".

While I dont think FHS is the number one team, But I am positive they are in the top 10.

I agree...LCA is the most talented team in 1A next year. If they do not win it this year, then I am not sure when they will. Beechwood has to replace their entire line so they are going to struggle more this year than the past two. You will still need to be at your best to beat them but this is your best chance. Beechwood has incredible talent in grade 7-9 (Freshman team won the N. Ky championship - that covers all size schools - beating out Highlands, Boone, New Cath, Dixie, etc.). For LCA and others in Class A, get it done this year if you want to beat Beechwood and get that ring.

They will be better than last year. Have more experience returning up front. Return 8 starters on offense and 9 on defense. Plus a QB that can throw the football. And a pair of 6'3 guys to throw it too.

 

The coaching staff has set a personal goal of playing in Bowling Green. I can tell you anything less us a bad season in their eyes. Coach Foley will more than likely need to fire some coaches if they don't make it. Including myself.
