I have listed my preseason top 5, and I think that LCA and Frankfort are the front runners in the East, and Beechwood is all alone in the West. Everyone else will be playing for an upset.

I believe they are a top 10 team in 1A this year. And expect they will win a few playoff games.

I hope you are right. I will be rooting for Harlan, just hoping that you are right.

I agree...LCA is the most talented team in 1A next year. If they do not win it this year, then I am not sure when they will. Beechwood has to replace their entire line so they are going to struggle more this year than the past two. You will still need to be at your best to beat them but this is your best chance. Beechwood has incredible talent in grade 7-9 (Freshman team won the N. Ky championship - that covers all size schools - beating out Highlands, Boone, New Cath, Dixie, etc.). For LCA and others in Class A, get it done this year if you want to beat Beechwood and get that ring.

 

While I agre that L.C.A. is absolutely loaded and should take a State Championship this season, my point in my earlier post was that the State Class A Championship run goes through Beechwood and untill someone beats them they are imo still considered #1.

As painful as it is to admit, you are correct. Until LCA (or anyone else) wins it, Beechwood is still #1.

Agreed. I also think Pikeville might overtake Hazard in region 1.

They will be better than last year. Have more experience returning up front. Return 8 starters on offense and 9 on defense. Plus a QB that can throw the football. And a pair of 6'3 guys to throw it too.

 

The coaching staff has set a personal goal of playing in Bowling Green. I can tell you anything less us a bad season in their eyes. Coach Foley will more than likely need to fire some coaches if they don't make it. Including myself.

 

 

After the last few seasons... How can you argue. Frankfort should be making plans to be in Bowling green in 09.:popcorn:
