Hartline at the beginning of the season. However, I think that Newton has a chance to unseat him if he picks up the offense pretty quickly, and I think he can.

The Cats just need far fewer dropped passes and that will open up the running lanes a little more.

I voted Mossakowski.

Really just a guess, but I think the kid must be pretty awesome to have garnered as much attention as he did playing for such a POOR high school team.

True, but he is coming off shoulder surgery. I voted Newton.

Mike Hartline.

The UK staff would have liked for Morgan Newton to enroll in January and go through winter workouts and spring practice, which would have given him a chance in the fall. I understand that his father wanted him to play basketball this season, so he elected to stay and finish out his senior year at Carmel High School.

Mike Hartline has what neither of these hyped incoming freshman do.......EXPERIENCE. At the quarterback position, experience (repitition) often beats out raw talent.

Unfortunately I think it will be Hartline. If he struggles I think we will see Newton sooner rather than later.

Hartline finished strong in the bowl game and honestly, ... a lot of UK's offensive problems stemmed from dropped passes. When Lyons got hurt, the best WR was the other QB Cobb.

Hartline didn't look any shakier than Woodson his first year as a starter.

I do agree that if he struggles, we could see Newton.

I think that surgery will limit Mossakowski. I wouldn't be surprised to see him redshirt. Would UK suggest a year at prep school? Maybe space him and Newton out just a bit?

Hartline to begin, see where it goes from there, unless someone really seperates themselve from the pack in practice.

No chance for Cobb?

Sure, but they desperately need help at WR and Cobb was their best WR when Lyons went down. I think you will see him in a Wildcat style package which could be very exciting, but his future is at WR.

Whatever happens, you can bet on this, .... Cobb will be on the field!!!
