I have voted for Bunning evey time he has run for office, but there comes a time for everyone to retire and this is his time. He is not the only one in Congress that should realize it is time to step down. Once there, I guess it might be difficult to step away from such a position.

If two terms are good enough for the President then two terms are good enough for the rest.

Yes. And even with the two being very ideologically far apart, the two still get confused for one another frequently. Stein is a Lex-area representative.

I agree on the term limits. This country has enough good people that we can get rid of these individuals who think of theirselves as royalty.

Last name is Johnson and I believe he returned last summer or fall.

I first voted for Bunning when he ran for governor against Martha Layne Collins. I met him and worked for him in my home county back then. He struck me as very knowledgeble and passionate about what he was trying to accomplish. I have not seen or spoken to him in 15 years or so. From what I've seen going back to his last election he has become a little out there to me. He was lucky to beat Mongiardo last time and it seemed like the more he talked the closer the poles became. Now its going that way again, the more he talks the worst it gets. Right now would be a good time for him to save some dignity and enjoy his life. Be thankful for what he's accomplished.

Actually, I have. More times than I'd want to.

 

His wife is a sweetheart, on the other hand. Must be necessary for someone to come behind the old man to soften the blow of how nasty he is.

I really hope Jim doesn't run again. I can't in good conscience vote for him again.

I don't care that he cussed, I don't care that he won't release his poll data. I disagree with others about his personality as I have met him several times and always found him to be gracious. I admire him for being out front on many of the financial issues. With all that, I do think that it is time for him to step aside as I don't think there is any chance of him winning another term and he is still in a position to help a younger candidate.

He is the type of person who tells you how it is and won't change for anyone. I think if all our politicians were as straight forward and as black and white as him we'd be a lot better off. Yes there are some negatives that come with this but the positives definitely outweigh them. He is a very strong and passionate conservative who is just brutally honest. He'll get my vote in 10'.

I have. I met him in his Senate office in DC last week and I would have to agree with Jim.
