Apollo 13: When Tom Hanks explains how having his cockpit lights go out actually helped him to make it back to his aircraft carrier; when the astronauts go through the "black out" period when returning to earth; when Ed Harris declares that this will be NASA's finest hour.

I've seen this movie well over 200 times and I love those scenes. My astronomy class just finished watching it yesterday.

Let me also add the scene in We Are Marshall where the whole school gathers outside the building where the board meeting is occurring and silently raise their fist in support of Nate Ruffin pleading his case to keep the football program.

:thumb: That WAS a good one.

The last 20 minutes of Casino

The last at bat in The Natural

Spring Training in Major League

When Andy Dufrense misses cell check in Shawshank

Any training montage in a Rocky movie

Samuel L. Jackson's "path of the righteous man" monologue in Pulp Fiction.

The scene in Moster Ball with Billy Bob Thorton and Halle Berry. You know the one I am talking about................:sssh:

The scene in My Stepmother is an Alien when Kim Basinger comes into the bedroom wearing the t-shirt..........:D

When Tombstone & Shawshank are on I start watching until the end, regardless of what scenes are on.

But there are some specific scenes from other films I have to watch:

- Jimmy Chitwood's speech at the church/town meeting.

- Rudy taking the field for the Irish.

- Randy lay there like a slug.

- Mel Gibson killing Colonel Tavington--"My sons were better men."

- Last five minutes of The Dark Knight Rises.

- John Cusack's discovery in Identity.

- Squints on the receiving end of Wendy Peffercorn's mouth-to-mouth.

Great thread revisited.

I didn't add mine before, but a few that stand out include:

Cruise and Jack getting after it on the stand in "A Few Good Men."

The scene when Bruce Willis realizes he's a ghost in "The Sixth Sense."

The "I'll make it," moment in Hoosiers.

Tip of the iceberg for me.

Movies I still love to watch from start to finish; Hoosiers, The Breakfast Club, Tombstone, Caddyshack, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, A Few Good Men, Scream, and several of the Halloween movies. Loved "Silver Linings Playbook," as well. I like a good movie.

When Nicholson walks into the Psych's office and looks around the waiting room at the patients and says "Don't tell me this is as good as it gets". Thus the title of the flick.

The sting in "The Sting" just couldn't beat Redford and Newman in their flicks

I can think of about a dozen or more scenes in Wes Anderson movies that are awwwwwwfully tough for me to turn off.

Herb Brooks pregame speech and the "again" scene in Miracle.

The fight scene with the Fury (guys in baseball uniforms and painted faces) in The Warriors

Any Newbomb Turk scene in Hollywood Knights

Speech Rocky gives his son in the last Rocky

Al Pacino halftime speech in Any Given Sunday
