I disagree. If they had lost him in December or January, maybe.....but you can't lose your leading scorer and rebounder in the semi-finals of the region and be expected to make the necessary adjustments in a couple of days and win the 11th region, I don't care how much other talent you have.

Sandman it hasn't happened yet but can you hear the out cry from the rest of the Commonwealth when one year it does happen and that is Dixie winning the ninth, Simon Kenton winning the 8th and Scott winning the 10th. That would be three teams from one county going to Rupp and when you consider Jefferson would have (as always) two school there, that would make almost a third of the schools in the sweet sixteen from two counties. Talk about screaming......

 

Now how many school districts have one school (remember they only have three total HS in the Kenton County School district) spread out over three regions? Campbell will be moving to the 10th and the Kenton School will be moving back into the ninth. Count on it.....

 

On your first point, none of the Kenton County schools have won a region in 14 years in counting. One has one title in school history and it was 20 years ago, and the other has gone 50 plus years now without a title. I think we're safe in all three not winning their respective regions in the same year.

 

As for the second point, I don't think we'll see Scott back in the Ninth. If the point is to alleviate overcrowding in the Ninth, why move teams back there?

Because, like I said, breaking up the 9th Region is unavoidable. Unless the NoKy area stops growing, and you and I both know that ain't happening.

You can't move a whole district out without having somebody else come in to balance out the numbers.

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest. This would make the 10th Region even stronger. There's already a little rivalry between Mason County and Scott County, and it would be magnified much more if both were in the same region. Instead of going :scared:, I would go :thumb:.

 

Kinda like Tiger Woods joining the PGA tour. Everyone else has to step up their game to stay competitive, and that's a good thing.

They won't move Scott Co in the Tenth because the 10th is going to be used for more ninth Region teams. The overflow of Ninth Region teams has to go somewhere and without Clark and Montgomery, everyone is fairly close to NKY. The Ninth and Tenth will be to NKY like the 6th and 7th to Louisville. The drive for our teams in the Maysville down AA is not bad at all and can make it in an hour or less.

Franklin County should be in the 8th.

The 38th District would be Bracken Co., Pendleton Co., Augusta, and Deming. The 39th District would be mad up of Mason Co., St. Patrick, Fleming Co., and Nicholas Co. and the 40th District will be Scott Co., Bourbon Co., Paris, and Harrison Co.
