If they both make it to saturday morning we will see.

I doubt Elliott will score more then 30 points because Holmes is so tall and athletic. Elliott hasnt played anybody EVER that has 6-7 guys that can take quarters off the top of the backboard.

I'm going with EC by 9.

Elliott County by 8.

If it comes down to a 30 ft buzzer beater, I like Anderson. :)

Elliott by 15 and maybe even stretching the margin into the lower 20's late in the game.

I understand where you guys are coming from but Holmes played a very similar defense last year (full court press/trap defense) but only gave up 46 ppg? Holmes didn't slow the ball down by any means last year either. Up until the sweet 16 they were averaging 66 ppg.

I'm just wondering why EC would be giving up so many points when other teams played a similar defense but gave up far less points?

(Let's not turn this in to a Holmes/EC debate...I only used them as an example from LAST YEAR to ask something about EC's defense THIS YEAR because of the two similar styles)

Do the math. the faster the tempo the more points you score and give up. Last year you scored 66 and gave up 46. If you upped the tempo and scored in the 80's you would probably give up 60 just like Elliott. Its all relevant to the pace of the game.

Will Russell match up with T Knipp?

How good is Russell?

What are everyones thoughts on Elliots easy ride to Rupp? Will it give them an advantage over Anderson who had a tough region championship game, whereas Eliiot won by 20+?

When the next game is more than a week later, my answer would be no.

I disagree with you about the poor shooting night, because I have seen many teams play this year and AC has the best defense out of the teams I have seen this year. I also think that AC will out rebound EC by close to 20 again. Russeell, Humphries, and Penny are monsters on the glass. If ACs guards come to play like they did the last 2 games of the regional tourney, I think they pull out the win. AC 62-EC 58

That's the big key for Elliott. Anderson County kept the last game close because they had to have 30+ 2nd chance points. If Elliott County outrebounds Anderson this go around then they win, regardless. If Anderson kills EC on the glass again then they are going to be tough to beat.

Pretty good player shoots the ball from 3 decent.

Holmes was my favorite until last night..I think Elliott will cut the nets down at Rupp..

:ohbrother::clap::popcorn:

Russell is very solid. Fearless prediction: he will lead the game in rebounding.

I don't believe he will!!!!!!!!!!

Anderson rebounds the ball well. They are thick and have height. When they want the ball....they'll get it.

Elliott Co. 74-59.

Elliott in a close one--maybe 4 or 5 points. Really depends on how well they shoot the ball.
