Honestly, forearm shoving and pushing under the basket isn't something a Beechwood fan should be complaining about anyways, because they did plenty of it in the games I saw them play. Beautell and Romes pushed off every chance they got, even blatantly at one point in the CovCath game last week.

 

Poor officiating or not, I think Boone winning this is the best outcome and the right one, as I feel they are the better team. They have a legit chance at making it to Rupp. IMO Holmes is the only team from the 9th that will make it through Rupp.

As a Beechwood fan, I'm not blaming the refs at all, we missed free throws and opportunities to either tie or take the lead. Tip of the cap to Boone for making free throws esp. late, how about Mcfarland's 1st shot, off the back rim 2 feet in the air and falls in.

lol, I know they didn't call it in that game. Thats why I said Beechwood shouldn't complain about uncalled "fouls" if there were any.

 

But after hearing the free throw stat, Beechwood has only Beechwood to blame, not the refs anyways.

Very strong effort and admirable end to one of Beechwood's best seasons ever. It is unfortunate that Romes had to play hurt but Boone is number one in N. Ky. for a reason. All the Beechwood players stepped up and played great and it still was just not quite enough. They can walk away proud of that effort. McFarland proved in the last minute why he is one of the 5 best players in N. Ky. this season. Good luck to Boone.

I will go ahead and tell ya that I haven't seen Boone in person this year just read and heard about them through other people... And I really like their jerseys; they are sharp.... Maybe a little off topic....

Was Gabbard sick this week or something? He didn't look as good as some have talked him up, and he sat pretty much at times.

 

I still like Boone beating Highlands.

 

Gabbard is coming off of an illness this past week. Not sure if that was why he was sitting more than usual though.

Seemed to be on a lay up where he went in hard, he was never touched I was right there by the basket, wasn't balanced and went to the floor after the shot. He wasn't "hammered"

 

Look at picture two, he went to the floor on this play as well. Guess he is getting hammered? Look at the last picture as well?? Plenty of great shots with a lot of action under the basket. Any player on either team getting "hammered"? :thumb:

Boone did a lot of pushing under the basket to get hard rebounds though and during their press they forearmed every time to keep their man in fornt of them.
