Tough to go with those numbers though because every team doesn't submit their stats to the KHSAA. I know neither Scott Co or Holmes have, as well as a lot of other teams around the state.

If Romes didn't get hurt, Beechwood would have won IMO. However, he did get hurt, which is a risk you take when you play. Unfortunately, Beechwood's bench was not deep enough to make up for it. We had a small group of talented players who played with great heart and tried their best. Thats all you can ask for.

I totally agree with that entire post. It was a memorable season for the Beechwood Tigers this season and this season will definatly be a yard stick for future Tiger teams. This years seniors should be proud of all the goals they accomplished and should not be ashamed for losing to a great Boone County team. It will be tough though to see such a talented group of seniors leave that program.

Seems like I'm reading about a lot of complaining about the refs. I sat in the boone section, on accident and listened to nothing but complaining about the officials. I truthfully thought they let the kids play. It was a physical game that the 9th region officials don't let happen as much. But overal I thought the refs from the 16th were very consistant on both ends. There were a handful of questionable calls, but there would have been also if we had 9th officials.

 

After watching both games last night, I think I was satisfied with both officiating crews. Could have been a lot worse......In the Boone the game. It came down to Beechwood stopped making shots. They were in the entire game because they WERE making shots.

I was sitting near the Beechwood section and they were on the officials all night. They were whistled for their first foul of the second half at the 5:00 mark of the 4th and they went nuts complaining about it.

This is only one person's opinion and maybe Boone played their worst game of the year, but I came away from this game not impressed at all with Boone's team. Boone didn't have anyone that looks like they can make an outside shot, and outside of some crucial mistakes by Beechwood down the stretch, Boone loses this game.

 

IMO: Highlands will beat Boone on Sunday.

I agree 100%. And if one of their better players didn't get hurt early on, could of been a Tiger win.

Highlands beat Boone by 14....that's probably why Boone needs to play better. Again, with NKY teams being so inconsistent, outside of Holmes and possibly Boone, it's tough to use common opponents as a gauge to how a game will go. It's all about the match ups.
