Two best sophomores in the state are Timmy Knipp and Robbie Stenzel. IMO these two set themselves apart from the rest of that class.

And I agree that Timmy Knipp has the biggest upside. He is 6'7" and can go inside and dunk on you, or he can shoot the three ball as evidenced by an earlier game where he had 31 points and shot 6-9 from trey land. He can handle the ball, run the court, has excellent range, and has an assortment of offensive moves around the basket. He also changes many games with his inside presence through blocks and altered shots. He will be a major D-1 player in the future.

Knipp sounds like the big skinny tall kid from South Laurel a couple years back. What was his name? He went on to pitch in baseball at Morehead St. I havent seen Knipp play yet but would you say that is a fair comparison?

Devon Rowan - North Oldham - 6'6", 250 Center - Freshman with great size, strength and skills. Has to be on list. Demling had him 15th in class.

Holmes - Kevon Arnold and Pierre Mayfield headline a bunch of young talent coming through there. Christian McClendon is an 8th grader who should be really good coming up as well

I would say that there are 5 standout freshman in the 14th: BJ Combs - Hazard, Zach Davis - KCC, Logan Johnson - LCC, Hobart Asher - Leslie Co. and Matt Day - Buckhorn

Mike Terry is the real deal. He is blessed with size, but works hard to show that he isn't just a big man. He has skills.

Bobby Stauffer at Ryle. One of the best big men in NKY as a Sophomore.

There was a frosh who started for LCA this year. Pretty good shooter.

The build of the two are similiar but Knipp is more skilled as a player than Smith was.

Mason County has some talented freshman. They are just now getting some minutes at the varsity level, but have provided impressive freshman and jv stats. Tyler Black, Josh Harris and Connor Osbourne will all be good for the Royals in a few years, maybe sooner.

Jacob Dixon 6'5" Sophmore for McCreary Central maybe one to keep an eye on. He has really came on the second half of the season. He could end up being special by the time he is a senior if he continues to improve.

Jacob is one of the best Soph. in the State. How good could he have been if he had been on a good Weight Program. The sky is the limit for him if he wants to get on the weights and do all things it takes to get better.
