In any contest where the public votes the best is not always the last one standing. We saw that with Taylor Hicks. This guy Scott is absolutely getting votes because, at least in part, to his blindness. People vote with their hearts and/or with someone they "like" or identify with. If Scott is not in the bottom 3 tonight it will prove that he is getting "sympathy" votes.

You're right, to an extent, but I don't believe it's giving him an unfair advantage. And any that it is giving him is counterbalanced by the difficulty of going out there and trying to perforn without vision and with the self-consciousness that comes with his impairment.

 

But if he is in the bottom three tonght, it only proves that he is one of the three least popular singers this week.

I just can't believe Adam hasn't already been "discovered" before AI. That falsetto is out of this world. If this contest is based solely on sheer talent, then he is a runaway winner every year. Even Carrie Underwood wasn't that good, IMO. Adam's notes are just pure and effortless and that is a gift from God.

His voice is a gift from God. Just amazing the notes he can hit with such ease. What a talent. I have played music since I was 3 years old and have heard some amazing singers. He is one of the best I have ever heard. Just remarkable.

The "16 yr old girl" may be amazing, but don't you guys think its a problem that nobody here can think of her name? If she's on the radio, people will be saying "Oh yeah that 16 yr old girl, I like her new song". She can sing, but is she marketable, especially since nobody knows her name.

Zero talent is way off base. He is talented. However, he pales in comparison to the frontrunners on this show and I think he and the arm tattoo chick need to go home.

I don't think Scott is not talented, he is. But I think he probably gets sympathy votes. What I have an issue with is the constant referrence to him as "The blind guy" in a derogatory way.

How is it derogatory to refer to him as the blind guy? I'm not making fun of his disability I'm just simply implying that is why he is on the show.

 

It's the same as if someone said Megan was the "hot girl" and that's the only reason she is on the show. No difference. It seems people are a little thin skinned.

I think it is Allison’s and Adam’s contest to lose. IMO they are each better than any of the other contestants.
