I thought it was 31 for Holmes and not 34. Anyway both need to carry themselves more professionally on the court. They'll face substantive people and players soon who won't be fazed by the drama. I couldn't agree more about R. Johnson. I would take him and his brother into battle with me any day.

I agree with you 110% and I feel the same way about Arnold. He has 5 or 6 T's this season, if not more. He has to know where to draw the line, he is either getting to agressive, letting pride get in the way of making smart decisions, or winding up in the wrong place at the wrong time nearly every time he is on the court. He has to ability to correct 2 of those 3, if he can correct those he wont have to worry about the third, problem is the rep is established this season, lucky for him he won't be dealing with 9th region ref's who may or may not have "labeled" him if they get to rupp. He will have an opprotunity then to correct the other 2.

By the way, isn't there a rule about artificial sound somewhere in the rule book. Everytime Holmes was at the line there was a horn being blown, and a drum being beat tonight. Isn't that illegal?

I agree. It was pretty funny, but very classless. I was surprised the HC administration didn't say anything.

I have a family member who literally everytime he played a team that had a student section, they would yell something when he went to the foul line due to other sports and friends etc. He got a kick out of it, lol. I think in some ways it's the whole "bad or good at least they're talking about you".

I know the HC kids did there fair share, but they were being taunted by a kid who can't handle winning gracefully. I know E and you obviously don't know him that well b/c thats not accurate as far as his chararcter. Also, Shina smacked Dom's hand away b/c it was clearly up in his jersey all over his chest? Were you not watching?:confused: I realize it goes both ways but this game confirmed what I think and a lot others (hopefully someone as smart as you) see and that is Holmes team lead by a great kid in Rico, but distractions in Pittman and Arnold. This thread shouldn't come to this so I am sorry and won't talk about it anymore.

 

I don't know any of the children in this thread, but they are kids and they don't deserve to be talked about like this on the internet. I don't think you can judge a person by how they play a game. I'm not taking sides I just don't want to children to be treated like this by adults.

HC challenges the Dawgs to a rematch and we start the game with the same score that this one ended at, 45-24. However, this time, Holmes does not get to shoot for 32 minutes. So, we're looking at a final score of about 48-45 HC. Should be a barnburner. Again, congrats to the Dawgs and best wishes to all HC seniors as they go on to other things.

Again Holmes is a good team and they battle throughtout the year aganist teams that I thought play physical as they did, and they (other teams) got away with just as much bad tactics too.

It seems Holmes has to prove more to the NKY people that they are for real.

Win or lose, Holmes has offer NKY some good talent in the past years, and the game of basketball has stepped up here in NKY. Get with and lets just play ball.

You are correct that these are often ugly games.

Excuses? Didn't Holmes just win by 21? I don't think I've made any excuses. But let's not act like Giwa did absolutely nothing to provoke it. Henley even questioned the call against Arnold.

 

I'm talking about excuses for Arnold.

He has a reputation for losing his cool. Teams will go after him, try to provoke him possibly, but that is smart. If one can't keep their composure, use it to your advantage.

Actually just recently the games between these two haven't been what you call pretty. If we look at the history of these two against each other there have been some very fierce battles. Also, what's wrong with the HC faithful thinking there was a chance because there really was a chance it just didn't happen and I wish everyone on Holmes good luck through the region and hopefully down state. Also you don't have to emphasize that Holmes won big we all saw the score.
