I certainly agee on Shelby Valley as well. They are small school from EKY and right now are the only Ky. team to beat Elliot. I would love to see them both at Rupp! Should they both be there and meet then I will be pulling for the winner. :thumb:

I agree. I wish SV the best of luck also!

To all of you Elliott Co fans...after reading that story, I truly understand now, why you support the Lions and those young men the way you do. Great story and very informative for those who don't know much about EC! I really look forward to seeing these boys play at Rupp.

Thanks Eta for the gracious remarks. I think among the fans of the top teams there is a healthy respect which is great for KY HS Basketball. Fans are going to see some fantastic performances in Rupp Arena with (I am predicting) the possible teams of Scott County, your multi-talented Holmes team, Shelby Valley, & Ballard/Eastern/J-Town. Scott County & Holmes are full of D-1 talent and are going to be tough on anyone & everyone. Shelby Valley has great size and talent inside and Justice is fabulous. Elliott can compete but all cylinders must be firing in precision against this array of talent that may be assembled in Rupp. Good luck to your Bulldogs who are a great HS Basketball Team. I believe the fans are going to see the greatest show in Hoops on display next month in downtown Lexington.

You got that right! :ylsuper::thumb:

Glad to see this wonderful team and fans get some love from the press. Being from Morgan Co, I have been to Sandy Hook many times and know thier story. Many of us on here knew of the journey it has taken for this team to get where they are today and how special they are. Others, this article has opened thier eyes, to see this is probably a once in a lifetime team, and as a basketball fan you have to love them.

I too will be supporting the Lions all the way...well unless they face my Cards on Friday.:D

Enjoy the ride EC fans.:dancingpa

Wow, thanks. These boys are very special to us and I am glad you can see why.:thumb:

Nice article. Never knew Dale was a song writer.

You should hear the whole thing, it will give you chills just like this ESPN story, really great.

Great article. I must say I have become an EC fan as well. While reading the story it had my mind wandering back as a kid growing up in our small town near Rabbit Hash!!!! The small towns in NKY are growing and you seem to lose something along the way but you don't know you lost it until you read something like this that almost takes you back in time. We were planning on taking a "scenic" ride through parts of KY this year and we may have to travel this part of the State this year....:thumb:

I agree Ted Nugent is probably almost as rowdy and ready as Dale Ferguson. I can see that.:ylsuper::ylsuper:

Please anybody but Billy Ray!

I love seeing these mountain boys get the expose they deserve. Great article. Good thing 20/20 wasn't the interviewer or it would of all been negative.

Great one I am still laughing.

Dale is great he will be missed when his kids leave high school.

In a few years everyone will be saying "Heeee's Baaack"! He has another good one (daughter) coming up from the middle school ranks. When all is said & done Sheila will be filing a compensation claim against "Ralphs Market" due to carrying that video camera for 20 years.

Great story; thanks for the link. I've said for a long time that I like the way your boys play and love the small town thing and think it would be great for your Lions to raise the trophy on Saturday night - but I still had to cheer on my Bulldogs and the rest of the Ninth Region first (which, as a Region, does not even have a single school that has ever won a state championship). Hope you guys understand that people in northern Kentucky are pretty hungry, too.

Since EC beat Mason and Ballard and proved to even the most skeptical BGP'ers that they're the real deal, it seems like there are only two issues that remain:

1. Can somebody PLEASE steal the exclamation point off of Dale Ferguson's keyboard; and

2. Who plays Dale Ferguson in the movie?

Billy Ray Cyrus

Great Stuff.

Billy Ray Cyrus

Jim Nabors?
