Considering Riley is more than halfway to Ferg's total 3's with 104 less shots, I feel pretty confident that the answer to that is yes..

 

Same with Meyer. He's only 24 3 pointers behind Ferg and that's in 5 less games and almost 80 shots less.

I don't care who is the best shooter, but I will say this...Ferguson draws everyone's best defender night in and night out!! Some of the guys people are saying are better.....are maybe a little better if they are wide open!! Ferg hardly ever gets a freebie! There is always one and up to three on him when he is firing three's or going to the rack!! He also gets tortured when he gets in the paint but still has a great %!!!

I am 43 and can still blister it with no one on me!! It really makes a difference!! Also the reason most of the others named haven't took as many shots is because they don't take the shot when someone is in their grill but Ferg does on a regular basis he doesnt have to wait on the wide open shot and still has good %'s!!!!!!!!!!!

All you have to do is watch a couple of games and you realize the truth in these statements. Ferguson is an amazing shooter.:notworthy:

No two players draw more gimmick defenses and box-and-ones than Hood and Jenkins. Game plans are totally built around stopping those two. Heck, when Jenkins went 5 of 8 from 3s in his recent return, they ran two different types of chaser defenses. Its amazing at the length teams will go to stop them.

Hes only shooting like 42% from 3 point range. There is no doubt that is good, but to listen to how you and others break it down you would think he shoots 75% from 3 point range.

Its hard to go against the 11th all-time scorer in the history of Kentucky high school basketball.

Ferguson's edge is his first step and his vertical.

There are several high quality shooters around the state, but none of them can match Ferg in these two areas. Meyers is the only other one who can match him on depth. Ferguson's strength also gives him the edge when it comes time to take it to the rack.

But your right, he is more of a scorer than a shooter. Someone else may have a little higher shooting percentage, but Ferg gets more shots off because that is his role on his team and because he can.

I never made no mention of what his numbers were Sir!!!!!!!!!! I only made mention that he is a good shooter whether anyone want's to admit that or not! I think everyone on this board know's that he is no where near 75% from three! As ADDOUT said though my post is true!

If you go by all the intangibles of a pure shooter such as form, elevation, height, quick release, from the spot or off the dribble, in the clutch, against mulitple defenses, Jenkins has shown time and time again he's the best pure shooter this state has had in a while.

I think that Fergusan is the best pure shooter in the state. He doesn't need to be hyped up because he has the stats to prove it and has consistently shot well for 5 years at the varsity level. The attribute he has that I think is extremely positive is that he is modest and very humble. If you compliment the kid he will always shake your hand, look you in the eye, and thank you for the compliment. I wish him nothing but the best in the future.

 

Ferguson is one of the best I have seen in Kentucky at creating a shot, not just this season but in a long while. To me, he is sort of a hybrid of former Elliott star Steven Kidd and Chris Lofton. I'm not saying he is as good as Lofton, but the way they create their shots is very similar at the high school level. There may be better pure "spot" shooters, but as far as taking a 25 foot jumper that is heavily contested Ferguson has to be near the top of the list in KY. Also, I agree that he is a good kid. I have watched EC a few times this year and he always seems to be very level headed. That is probably the best thing you can say about him, and is a huge compliment to his family as well. I may be seen to some EC posters as a "Lion's Basher" (which i'm not), but I always like to hear that he has played a good game, because he plays basketball the way it is suppose to be played.

Riley is a great shooter as well. Most of the shots I have seen him take don't even hit the rim...Nothing but net.
