Impressive...especially considering the competition he's faced this year.

That is 39.2%. His 2pt FG % is what is amazing at 69% :thumb:

 

Looking at the stats Ethan Faulkner may be a better shooter overall?

 

In watching Ferguson play some this year and in AAU I would say he takes more bad shots than Ethan Faulkner. Hes a great shooter and takes some heat checks IMO.

If you look at what I typed I said players I had seen in person this season. And to say point blank he is the best shooter in Ky is a little out there IMO. I am not saying hes not, but I definitly am not saying he is either.

 

I see your point. The one element here is Kentucky does have upward swing in talent and there's no shortgage of marksmen in the state.

You sure about that? I know Pittman isn't a "shooter" but he is 56% from the field with over 200 attempts on the year. (144/259 FG...20/65 3 pt Fg)

 

Riley is also shooting above 40% with over 200 attempts. (100/204..49%)

 

Ferguson is 55% with over 450 attempts.

Ferguson can fill it up, but IMO Ethan has the better shot selection.

From watching his highlights, I've noticed he either shoots the 3 or gets in the lane for 8-10 footers. Assuming that's correct, I'd say his high percentage has a lot to do with how many easy baskets he gets around the rim. (Same could be said about Pittman as well)

Ferguson is the ype that you hope gets the ball and shoots it just so you can watch his shot. When a pure shooter makes it look good even when he misses you know that he is something special.

Meyer's percentage stats are very similiar to Riley. 57% 2pt fg, 45% 3pt fg, 50% overall fg.

I take Barrett Meyer as the best shooter, him and Hood seem to impress me the most.

Ferg is the best shooter in the state. Period.

He take's alot of shots because he can hit them in the clutch. When the game's on the line, I'd want the ball in his hands.

I've seen him with 2-3 defenders on him, in his face and he pulls up from the 3 pt line with perfect form and drops them all day long.

I dont know I just think if you are a great shooter you should be able to hit a higher percentage of freethrows than 73%. Dont get me wrong I think he is a great player! And you got to love Elliott Co basketball.

Ferg is not only the best shooter in the state because of his high percentages and career/season scoring, but because of his range. I have seen him hit many a shot from the star in the Kentucky symbol on Elliott's home court. That star is closer to half court than the three point line. These were not final buzzer shots, but shots in the normal offense where many said oh no and then said oh yes. I played HS ball and thought I shot pretty good my self. After the games I would go out and stand on the star. It looks like a mile to the basket from there. He also has hit incredible long range shots with 2 defenders hanging all over him. The word used is riduculous by several college coaches especially after the South Charleston game when talking to them on the court after that game was over.
