If you really think that UK was as good then as they are now when Patterson is in the lineup then you've been sipping the same kool-aid as Mr. Parker. Patterson WAS in the lineup for three consecutive losses. Personally, I'd rather have the UK team that won the Vegas tourney than the one who has lost 4 of the last 6.

February 18, 200917 yr Garbage Gillispie has been here less than 2 seasons. You can't snap your fingers and have a championship team. It takes time. And, typically, its a good idea to "flush the commode" before cleaning. Any "realist" should know that. Especially, if said realist truly believes BCG inherited a "crapper of a program". Very similar to the Rich Brooks situation. Most people said they knew it would take some time to get things turned around and where we wanted them...yet, shortly into his tenure, the apocalypse was upon us and if something wasn't done a "crisis would become a catastrophe" (and you thought Obama came up with that). The big difference is that many people were anti-Brooks from the word go, whereas Gillispie had more support behind his hiring. Ridiculous.
February 18, 200917 yr Dude they lost to VMI....I'd say that's just a tad worse than Georgia, no? Just curious, but why bring up the first game of the season? If they had just lost to VMI I can understand. But you can't be critical of them because they lost a bad game at the beginning of the season. With that being said, if they lose to Georgia now.. Then yes, it will be ALOT worse then the VMI loss.

So, now I have some advice to anyone (no one in paticular, there are plenty)that wants to bash, gripe and complain all the time and that is to go ahead and do so, no problem and that is your right and choice to do so................Just when U.K. returns to winning big (and they will) don't come back around praising them then wanting to jump back on a bandwagon. Exactly! BCG or no BCG, I am confident that UK will once again be back on top within the next 10 years.
February 18, 200917 yr Most of us with Meeks' ability, overall season, and future money available, would opt to go pro. No one thinks he will be an instant star in the NBA, but he sure has potential. If I were him, I'd take the leap. Encouraging him to leave is nothing more than telling a young man to seize an opportunity that will provide very well for him and his family. And about this being a reaction to last night's loss alone? No way. Last night was just further evidence that the program is going nowhere. This is a two man team, plain and simple. If those two men--or even one of the two go pro--next year won't be as strong as this year. I think Orton coming in is good, but the kid has major knee problems already. While I hope he'll come back from the injury strong, I think it's a red flag. And I'd love to see Jon Hood come in and light it up. But it's tough to tell with him. He could turn out like Josh Carrier or like John Pelphrey. I have to disagree. A lineup with Patterson,Pilgrim and Orton underneath and with Galloway and Meeks at the guards.:thumb: You would still have on the bench Stevenson,Miller,Harris,Liggins,Harrelson and Porter.Also to address your last sentence, there is a BIG difference in a Carrier and a Pelphrey. JMO

Last time I checked the first game of the season counted towards their win-loss record. VMI is a terrible, terrible loss regardless of when, where, and how.
