I will have to say 7th here. They are stacked.

Three a piece from each. 7th: Ballard, Eastern and Jeffersontown. 11th: Scott County, Station and Catholic.

 

Don't forget Franklin Co. Thats 4 teams in the top 10 for the 11th.

That is a very tough call - 9th vs. 10th. If you go matchups in order of record is is pretty even until you get down to about #6. From 6-11, the 9th is better IMO. That is where the 9th region is so tough. Year in and year out the #8, 9, 10 teams in the 9th are usually solid teams capable of beating even the best team in the region . Hey, this year Holy Cross is #11 in the region if you go by their record and I assure Holmes is not looking forward to playing them in the district opener at Holy Cross.

As always, the better discussion is not what is the toughest region, but what is the toughest region OUTSIDE of the 7th & 11th.

The 11th and 7th are very close and then there is a pretty good drop off.

Without a doubt the 7th & 11th are the toughest.

7 (barely), then 11; then a drop to 9, and another drop to 10.

I think the 11th is just ahead of the 7th region this year.

Scott County vs. Eastern

Scott County no doubt. Too much size and can match Eastern's quickness and guard play.

 

Franklin County vs. Jeffersontown

I am going to say Franklin County with the way they are playing right now. J-town would have the athleticism but FC would have size advantage.

 

Lex. Cath vs. Ballard

I like Catholic in this match-up. They have been playing much better together lately. BTW, anyone see Peirach's (sp?) dunk on Euton last night!

 

Bryan Station vs. Seneca

I don't know anything about Seneca but I would bet on Station just looking at 10 losses from Seneca.

 

Dunbar vs. Trinity

Trinity in this one. Sewell would be a tough match-up for Dunbar's personnel.

 

Tates Creek vs. Male

Male's athleticism inside would give Creek's big men problems. 1 more for the 7th.

 

Mad. Central vs. Moore

I would pick Central to come up with a game plan to get the ball out of Mosley's hands. 1-up 11th

 

Henry Clay vs. Manual

I'll give Manual the benefit of the doubt regarding Jenkins injury.

 

I could only do my top 8 match-ups. 5-3 in the 11th's advantage IMO (obviously most of us have slightly bias opinions).

 

 

I would not be so sure on the first four games.

 

I think Eastern is one team that gets no respect yet continues to beat all comers. Eastern's guards are probably the most physical in the state and I think they would be hard to handle even for Guyn and Jackson.

 

Having seen both play, I think Jtown would be able to handle Franklin.

Seneca crushed Bryan Station in the preseason at Bryan Station, for what that's worth
