KY Baller Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 What are your thoughts about the toughest region? The 11th ( Scott Co., Bryan Station, Franklin Co., Henry Clay, Lexington Catholic, Lexington Christan, Dunbar, Sayre, exc.) or 7th (Jeffersontown, Eastern, Manual, Seneca, Ballard, Male, Trinity, exc.)!
BigSpikes Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Definitely the 7th, Ballard was #4, Eastern was #3, J-Town was #5, Seneca was #12 and Trinity was #19 in BGP's latest poll! That is a stacked region, whoever wins that is the favorite to get to the title game and get out the top half of the bracket IMO.

BigSpikes Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Operative word here . . . WAS . . . Ehh, they won't fall out of the top ten, so that will be still be 3 teams in the top 10.
eccheer Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 How many from each region (between 7th and 11th) would be in the top 10?
BigSpikes Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 How many from each region (between 7th and 11th) would be in the top 10? Three a piece from each. 7th: Ballard, Eastern and Jeffersontown. 11th: Scott County, Station and Catholic.
TheSecondComing Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I think it is almost too close to tell. Someone did this in a thread earlier in the year but here's my rankings (right now!) and head to head match-ups in a 7th vs 11th challenge. 11th 7th 1. Scott County 1. Eastern 2. Franklin County 2. Jeffersontown 3. Lex. Cath 3. Ballard 4. Bryan Station 4. Seneca 5. Dunbar 5. Trinity 6. Tates Creek 6. Male 7. Madison Central 7. Moore 8. Henry Clay 8. Manual Scott County vs. Eastern Scott County no doubt. Too much size and can match Eastern's quickness and guard play. Franklin County vs. Jeffersontown I am going to say Franklin County with the way they are playing right now. J-town would have the athleticism but FC would have size advantage. Lex. Cath vs. Ballard I like Catholic in this match-up. They have been playing much better together lately. BTW, anyone see Peirach's (sp?) dunk on Euton last night! Bryan Station vs. Seneca I don't know anything about Seneca but I would bet on Station just looking at 10 losses from Seneca. Dunbar vs. Trinity Trinity in this one. Sewell would be a tough match-up for Dunbar's personnel. Tates Creek vs. Male Male's athleticism inside would give Creek's big men problems. 1 more for the 7th. Mad. Central vs. Moore I would pick Central to come up with a game plan to get the ball out of Mosley's hands. 1-up 11th Henry Clay vs. Manual I'll give Manual the benefit of the doubt regarding Jenkins injury. I could only do my top 8 match-ups. 5-3 in the 11th's advantage IMO (obviously most of us have slightly bias opinions).

gold sunrise Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Three a piece from each. 7th: Ballard, Eastern and Jeffersontown. 11th: Scott County, Station and Catholic. I would put Franklin Co in the top 10 that would make the 11th 4 teams.
BigSpikes Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I would put Franklin Co in the top 10 that would make the 11th 4 teams. Ah, I forgot about County. Well, the #'s don't lie, 4 is one more than 3. If that holds up the 11th takes it for now.
mooremiller31 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 11th with the 7th just behind them. Year in and year out these two regions are far and away above the rest.
PA polar bear Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) This one is a toss up. But I'll say the 7th by the slimist of margin. Edited February 16, 2009 by Ram Rule 13
