Would it?

It could increase it, I think. If these drug dealers have no one to sell to they are going to act violently in different ways to provide income. Take a drug dealers drugs away from him and see how else is makes money.

If you're selling drugs to make your living, you're not selling just weed. That bridge you mention has already been crossed. If someone is selling weed only, chances are almost 100 percent they're only doing it to keep a supply for themselves and a few choice friends, and probably wouldn't mind getting put out of business.

I agree that there is probably not a huge difference in stoned and drunk. But most people I have seen stoned to the point appear to be "a day late and a dollar short" where as a drunk person tends to be more loud, outgoing, fast paced.

I can tell you that my friend that tried it many years ago and never did it again. She said she tried it and didn't like it. Said just a small amount made her feel very weird. She said it felt equivalent to have MANY drinks at once.

To quote a guy I know in Warsaw: "It's the instant buzz you don't have to pee out."

That is an arguement that a lot of people make, but it isn't necessarily accurate. It depends on how much you smoke and what kind of weed you're smoking. Just because you smoke doesn't mean you have to be baked just like drinking doesn't mean you have to be hammered.

It was a very small amount. She must have been a weed light weight!:lol:

Another question I have...how many of you think a joint is the same as having one drink (beer, wine, whatever your flavor)?

I can't really say for sure, but I'd say based on talking to people that one joint vs. one drink wouldn't be a good comparison. I think they are too different in their effects.

I think that is the long and short of it. I've never seen a person selling it on a street corner.

And, yes, it absolutely should be.

The thing about alcohol vs weed is that you can drink enough alcohol to kill yourself. You can't OD on marijuana.

I wouldn't say you can't but it would sure be hard.

Make it legal, along with others.

I agree...If someone wants to smoke crack...Shoot up...Let them kill themselves...If they steal from me to support there habit Lock them up forever...If someone gets caught manufacturing Meth or anything else that can blow up the neighborhood lock them up forever...

I saw a study a long time ago that said to overdose on pot you have to smoke like 1,000 times the amount that it takes you to get stoned.

Ok now this should be interesting!! Now what other drugs do you think should also be legalized?
Heck, all of them would be fine by me. I don't use them, but it's a victim-less crime. Tax it, free up prison space, cut back on overdoses because of "bad cut drugs", cun down on crime. Win-win the way I see it.

I don't think it is physically possible. I'd bet you would pass out before you could OD .

That is probably an estimate because I don't think there has been one single case of someone overdosing on pot.

I'm not sure, but I can tell you this. If one of my children had to get in a vehicle (say to go across town to pick up medicine to save my life) with either someone who was stoned or someone who had consumed a few beers I would pick the high dude 100 out of 100 times. I would also much rather be around someone who was stoned than a drunk. I of course would prefer and expect my children to stay away from both but I feel alcohol is much more destructive in so many ways. I did my share of drinking back in the day but I believe drinking can and does much more damage to individuals and families than marijuana could ever do.

I've never been a user, but I voted yes for legalization. It grows from the earth. As far as I know, crack doesn't. I say decriminalize it and tax it. I don't think it would make things any worse.
