February 11, 200917 yr Are you a fan? I love the old stuff, new stuff, and everything in between. Right now I'm listening to an awesome CD by a band called the Steeldrivers. You can here some of the songs on their MySpace site.

February 11, 200917 yr My favorites are Alison Krauss/Union Station, Del McCoury, Nickel Creek, Gillian Welch, among others.
February 11, 200917 yr I like it...in moderation. Have some of it on my iPod, and also have the Time-Life Treasury of Bluegrass.
February 11, 200917 yr A couple of my favorite CDs are the "Plank Road/Nashville Sessions" collections featuring The Chieftains teaming up with various Bluegrass artists. I guess much of Bluegrass has its roots in Celtic music. http://www.music-critic.com/country/chieftains_downtheoldplankroad.htm
February 11, 200917 yr Not a big fan, although I do have an old Flatt and Scruggs LP that was pretty good.
February 12, 200917 yr My little cuz is a member of a great Ky bluegrass band called "Kentucky Sassafras". You can sample their music here-----> http://cdbaby.com/cd/kentuckysassafras2
February 12, 200917 yr My family always listened to when I was growing up and as a result I never cared for it. However, I've developed an affinity for it in recent years.
February 12, 200917 yr I am absolutely a fan of Bluegrass! I love listening to Bill Monroe, Ricky Scaggs, Allison Kraus, Ralph Stanley and plenty of others. (if it's not Country, Bluegrass, Southern Rock, Southern Gospel or the "Oldies Rock & Roll" then it's not music. )

Its certainly not what you probably think it is. Quasi-bluegrass. Here's my favorite song by Steeldrivers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhlbFVfdqgw Edited February 12, 200917 yr by Clyde
February 12, 200917 yr I love it. Del Coury, Dan Tyminski, Union Station and an old band called The Seldom Scene are my favorites, but I keep channel 014 on XM radio pretty much on all the time.
