CONGRATS ELLIOTT!!!

We're PROUD OF YOU!!!

Now that you've beaten the #6 team in the state . . . you're back in the top 5 teams in the state.

Of course WE always knew you were!!!

:dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa

I think the school should give every senior a copy of WSAZ's televised version of tonights game!!

I hope I don't come off as a "hater", but, from watching the 2nd half:

1. Neither team impressed me, at all. I have a hard time believing either could compete with Holmes or Scott County. Individually, T. Knipp and Pawsat both looked good. I do admit that Elliott can hit some shots.

2. From the other thread, people said Ballard will be in an atmosphere that they have never experienced. Was the experience Sandy Hook special tonight? Maybe you have to be there to take it in, but from what I saw it was like a CovCath game against an average opponent (any year but this one )

3. I know it is not Elliott's style, and it turned out more than fine for them, but it would be smart for EC to slow it down a bit when up 15 in the last few minutes. They would get up 15 and then try to run and turn it over or miss a shot and let MC back in the game

You just can't stand to give Elliott the respect they're due! :idunno:

Elliott shot 74% in 2nd half.

With the amount of shots they take, if they shoot like that they could beat just about any team in the state.

Was you at this game? Our little gym was packed to compacity, you could not even hear the person next to you while they were yelling in your ear, because that gym was so loud, and Elliott played as good as any team in the state in the second half. Glad you think we are a top 10 team, we appriciate the reconition, however there are not many schools where the fans are as intense and devoted as Elliott County.:thumb:

And it HAD to be 200 degrees in there OR it was all the heat radiating from the Elliott County Lions because they were hot . . . Hot . . . HOT!!!!!!

This serious? Check on the teams Mason Co has played this year. :thumb:

Why didn't Mason Co have Barner in the game in the 2nd Half?

I couldn't figure that out either. They really could have used him, he was playing fine to me from what I saw. Mason will have some very good teams in the years to come, but Elliott started to take them out of their game when Evan started to take control in the second quarter. But that is a very good question.:irked:

Now that I've cooled off a little bit . . . here are my thoughts on the game!

Elliott started out slow in the 1st quarter, but regained control of the ball and court in the 2nd. By the time it was ready to start the 3rd the game was definately Elliott's to win or lose. By the 4th quarter it was done.

Mason and Elliott both utilized their bench and the tide really started turning when soph J. Ison came in to relieve T. Knipp. Ison really made a name for himself tonight when he got under the basket for the rebounds! I've said it before (and I'll say it again) . . . Ison will be a very strong player for Elliott in the next two years. With his height and size, he's the man to have under the basket to capture those defensive rebounds and those offensive touch-ins.:ylsuper:

Yes I was burning up!!! Walking outside after the game was like an air-conditioner hitting you in the face on the hottest day of July!! By the way I believe I said hello to you tonight.

I knew he was going to be a contributer after the East game. He could be the player that comes on late in the season and makes a world of difference. I liked what he did tonight and was very proud of him; if he hits the weight and gets stronger, next years post play will be sick.

We need to focus on these next to games and develop our season ending toughness before all the madness starts. SO PROUD OF THE LIONS BUT IT IS JUST THE BEGINNING!!!!!!:dancingpa
