I have a feeling that Dunbar will be looking for a new coach!!!!

 

Anything to base that feeling on?

I doubt they will fire Red and I don't think he's leaving on his own.

From what I've heard, Covington Holy Cross may have a new Coach next year.

The 14th always has a lot of talk about this and that. Not really a lot of talk this year yet, but a couple that people have already been talking about are:

1. Coach Hatcher, PCC, always wanting to get closer to his family, this makes the Pike Central job a good choice for him. I'm sure things will heat up after the Regional tourney next week or after the state tourney, if PCC can get by Hazard or Knott.

 

2. Speaking of Knott, I believe that if Knott doesn't win this year, they will be looking for someone to grab the reigns and run, even if they do get to Rupp, the super still may want a change. Stamper and Cox coming back next year would help any coach say yes to this job. Possibilities: John High, Al Holland, Cavanaugh Trent Have all been mentioned in conversations.

 

3. Coach Justice, Letcher Central, they have had some talented teams and haven't proved it to the region the last couple of years and have lost some big games this year as well. Coach Justice I'm sure is feeling the pressure going into the regional tourney. May need to pull a couple upsets to cool off the hot seat. This would be a nice job for a lot of people. No names have been mentioned though.

 

4. Coach Creech, Wolfe County, I have heard this may be his last regional tourney. They have been making changes there for the last couple years and I'm afraid he is the next one to be asked to step down.

Bath County will be open if Hicks gets a decent job offer because his players graduate.

 

Ashland could be open and Jeff Hall bring his son, Cameron, back to play for Tomcats.

 

Is Jeff Hall planning on teaching something at Blazer or being part of the administration because I thought the coach was supposed to be in the education profession within the school district to coach at Ashland? COrrect me if I'm wrong.

 

I would hate to see Buddy Biggs leave before he has a chance to develop a team. It isn't his fault that the talent level at Ashland isn't what it used to be. The majority of the "quitters" are kids who didn't want to work as hard as his practices demand. There are a couple of kids who quit for other reasons.

From some of the comments sounds like a lot of discontent going on in bulldog land!!!!!!!!

No I don't think Hall would come back. I would say Biggs stays. He may leave on his own rumors have it he has been looking for over a year. But thats just talk. Sometimes talk is true sometimes it is not. IDK

Any new developments anywhere yet?

I am surprised there isn't more rumors going around on here considering there is probably 1/2 the schools in Ky whos season is over with. And odds are a lot of fanbases are not happy that their team is done.

I don't see moves at Silver Grove or Bourbon Co unless the coaches themselves were to make the decision to leave.

I have heard that Coach Barr will retire at Paris and that Reitz is considering it but nothing has been decided yet.

 

I doubt that Reitz would leave Harrison to go to Paris.
