Just stand in one of the concourses at Rupp this week or better yet at the Hyatt Bar and you can see some jobs being brokered and some deals going down. The rumors floating around and watching the coaching carousel move is one of the best parts of the "Sweet 16."

Greisser's wife is pretty attached to Georgetown, so I could see him taking the Harrison job to be closer to home. He actually accepted and then backed out of a small college job to stay in Georgetown a few years ago.

Heard from a good source that Griesser had an offer on his house last year but turned it down. I would say we will know somrthing in next few days.:idunno:

Did I just completely miss something here? Is this all speculation, or has Reitz resigned? Haven't seen where he has resigned.......just curious

Word is all over the streets that Coach Fraley is resigning from Greenup County after only one season. I am shocked and thought he would stay for awhile.

 

Has their been a final decision made by Fraley or Greenup County? :idunno: I haven't heard anything new since his post game radio show where he announced he might not be back.

I heard from the 13th region Jim Conway was leaving. Is he being pushed out or his decision to leave.

 

The rumor has been around Laurel County that he told the administration before the season that he would be leaving at the end of this season. I haven't heard this from Jim or Theresa myself, but will be talking to him soon. I don't know this for a fact.

 

I don't believe he is being forced out. The talent pool at North is very shallow. The better players almost always find their way to the south end of the county.

 

I would hate to see Coach Conway leave. He is an excellent coach and I would let my kids play for him anytime.

And I hear he is the choice for next year as the Head Coach at WV. He is currently the assistant for the Girls team, but possibly came with the intent that this position would open up.

Why would he be leaving? He has only had one year.

Ha, well its hard for someone to turn a program that was put back 20+ years in one year. The team was very young, only two seniors. They started several freshman and sophmores. Coach Wooten is not going anywhere, for at least a few more years, and that came from the top.

Well I watched this player many times. I understand where you are coming from, but at the same time I understand where coach Wooten is coming from. There were 7 seniors but from what I understand they were getting out worked by younger players. Changing a system can be frustrating and I believe that was the main problem. When you are rebuilding you are better off to play the younger players.

The "run and gun" didn't quite go according to plan. Sometimes you have to get a system that fits your players and not try and fit you players into a system. Good Coaches make the necessary adjustments.
