I have been told that there is much more to the picture than what we have seen on t.v. the last few games. A friend of mine at the Big Blue Sports Network tells me that there are very many internal issues in the UK lockerroom. He said that there was almost a battle royal in the shootaround yesterday and that things were really ugly after the game last night. That might help explain some of the poor play in the last few games.

Labs, what have you heard?

Well, they play like something is going on.

Miller drove the lane and had a 3 footer and passed it up.

Down 13 with 3 minutes left and there was minimal to no trapping, pressing, etc.

Apparently a few of the players are really not liking each other right now. That might explain the appearance that a certain player was looking the other way when Meeks came open a few times last night.

If someone is taking it to the extreme of not passing the ball to an open player then they need to be kicked off the team.

They certainly appear to be playing with "issues" behind the scenes.

Call in Dr. Phil. His analysis of this situation would be very interesting.

He asked me not to name players, but apparently there are a few loose cannons in the lockerroom that are really screwing up the team's chemistry. He said that there are behind the scenes reasons why certain people aren't getting as many minutes as you might think they should. He said that there is also the sense of a little jealousy from a few after Meeks started getting alot of national attention.

From everything I've heard, it sounds as if this team is headed to Team Turmoil II.

Oh yeah, I think the highlight of the story for me was when he told me that after the game last night, they were really going at each other in the lockerroom. He said he looked over in the background and BCG was watching and smiling. I found that to be interesting, but not surprising.

DISCLAIMER: This is from a friend of mine that is close to the program and he is NOT a banker :thumb:

I have thought all season that it appears that Meeks and Patterson do not like each other. If this is the case, and I have no reason to think it is not, this could get ugly in a hurry. Things like this spiral out of control quickly. But they have a week without any games, without any attention to get it all straightened out.

Apparently, there has been "tension" most of the season but it had never really been aired. After a loss or two, it started coming out from what I can gather.

Who can blame Patterson I've said all along Meeks was a ball hog who went for his at his teammates expense I got bashed when I said it originally but anyone notice he is still taking his 17 shots a game in this skid and even though he's taking the same amount of shots his production is down.

For the record, noone has mentioned that it was Meeks and Patterson that were having a problem. I think they are actually roommates, if I'm not mistaking.

If Billy G was smiling about the in-fighting. Maybe he likes it that way.

It doesn't appear to be working in the CATS favor though.

There are about 50 other more glaring problems before addressing Meeks being a ball hog.

If players have a problem with others let them get it out in the locker room. Sometimes you just let things build up too much and holding it in doesnt help very much so let it all out and light a fire under someones behind! Maybe this is what its going to take for them to show some passion and wanting to play some real basketball. If im BCG I let them have their time and express their emotions, obviously everything hes doing isnt working. As far as PP and Meeks not getting along I dont buy into it yet, I mean really if PP didnt like Meeks why would he room with the guy? PP is never going to be a star by himself. He had Mayo in high school and now Meeks. He needs someone else to be the star so the defense doesnt surron him. I have more of a problem with people who cant keep their mouths shut who arent on the team and let this business out then letting it be handled in house and dealt with. U cant tell me BCG isnt going to put these guys through alot these next 6 days of practice.

From the way I heard it, Wireman.

They were jawwing at eachother and whatnot, and it's easy to do when things aren't going well. Gillispie let it happen because he felt that would help them and bring them closer and realize the importance of playing as a team in teh long run, from the way I understood it.

It wasn't really like a hate fest, but more of being upset after a loss and a string of losses.
