January 23, 200917 yr Congratulations to this young man, if confirmed. He chose Boston College for a reason and we all should wish him well, instead of mentioning schools he didn't choose.
January 23, 200917 yr I'm sorry, but I just don't see anything wrong with my comments in this thread. Since you do, I'd like to hear exactly which comments you are referring to and why they bother you? I'm not saying that to argue, I really do want to know what's wrong with my comments. The attitude that Kentucky is THE place to go to school. The attitude that if you're not going to go to Kentucky then something is wrong. Surely there must be some other reason, right? It couldn't be that he wanted to leave the state. It couldn't be that BC has more to offer. Kids choose schools for different reasons.
January 23, 200917 yr Congratulations to Deuce! Nothing against UK, but the chance to go to Boston College is a pretty great opportunity! I don't blame him a bit!

It could just be that I'm a fan of the game and was curious as to the reason why he chose BC. Here are my 3 comments that you jumped on: 1) Well, that's disappointing. What does he see at BC that he likes better than UK? - disappointment that he didn't go to my favorite team and just a curious question 2) With the status of Locke in question, he could have contributed really soon. - Agreeing with LCPats that he could indeed get PT at UK 3) Nah, I think UK is a good enough academic school. - I don't think that would be a reason because UK is a fine academic school in most areas. I don't see any way that I downed the kid for his choice. I didn't realize we weren't allowed to ask questions out of curiousity. Anyways, good luck at BC to Mr. Finch.

I wonder if there's a degree offered @ BC that's not at UK. The other thing is, it's BOSTON! Boston vs. Lexington....:idunno:

January 23, 200917 yr Wireman, I feel your argument. We all wish him well, but as fans of UK we wanted him to stay, that should be taken as a compliment. Some members just view every comment the wrong way.

January 23, 200917 yr Gonna be tough for UK to make that push to a big bowl game without closing their state border. They have been shoplifted by OSU and now BC.
January 23, 200917 yr Congrats to Deuce who will be attending BC next year. He'll be the third player from X in the last ten years to continue their playing days at BC. Phil Mettling and Danny Zepp are the two previous ones.
