DragonFire Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Meeks raises his average to 26 PPG, and he moves into #3 in the nation.

Wireman Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Kentucky was very lucky to come out with a W.... That's part of it :thumb:
Blue Magic Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Meeks raises his average to 26 PPG, and he moves into #3 in the nation. If he continues to raise it there no way he can't be in the consideration for POY. Not that I think he'll win it but he must be in the talk if he keeps this up. I think the guy from Oklahoma, Griffin, should win it. He's unstoppable.
Blue Magic Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Then that will be two players from Oklahoma in two different sports to win POY awards. Wonder when the last time that happened was if it ever has happened. Heisman and POY in basketball.
Wireman Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 ESPN's stats have Krebs shooting 0-1 tonight. When did he get in?
RockPride Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 If he continues to raise it there no way he can't be in the consideration for POY. Not that I think he'll win it but he must be in the talk if he keeps this up. I think the guy from Oklahoma, Griffin, should win it. He's unstoppable. The problem is their SOS...it's horrible.
corndog23 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Kentucky was very lucky to come out with a W.... Ill take a little luck from time to time if it means winning ball games like tonight! :thumb:
STRIKE3 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I've dubbed UK, the MP3 Players. Meeks, Patterson and 3 other players. Stevenson was impressive and was active. To take the next step, they've got to eliminate the unforced TO's and make better decisions, in the half court game.
Wireman Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 The problem is their SOS...it's horrible. That won't have much to do with POY. If he keeps scoring and UK keeps winning, he'll be there at the end.
gchs_uk9 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Rest of the team 8 points 8 rebounds (poor effort) Particularly Michael Porter. He'd played well for several games, but he was awful tonight. Too many turnovers, too careless, and on a couple of trips seemingly afraid to shoot. Needs to be better Saturday at Alabama.
