I heard he will be the honored guest at the Oak Hills HS stag coming up soon. I found this picture and thought it was pretty cool. What are your thoughts on Pete's accomplishments and do you think he deserves a spot in the HOF.

I agree with that but betting on the game was a no no and he knew better. I just think they should accept his apology and atleast induct him posthumanously.

What Pete did as a player should get him in the HoF.

What he did as a manager isn't deserving of the HoF.

Put him in the HOF as a player. The betting was a decision he made as a manager. His-on field accomplishments have nothing to do with his off- field choices.

I'm not a Reds fan. Actually, I can't stand Pete Rose. But, IMO he should be in. He's one of the best to ever play the game. Yes he messed up, but who hasn't.

I'm not a Reds fan, but that Pete Rose is out of the HOF while we have some others that are in despite doing things I consider far more despicable is a travesty. If your goal is truly to have the best players in the HOF, he belongs in.

BTW, all of his accomplisments and records are in the HOF. The discussion is ONLY on Pete Rose, as a person/player. His accomplishments are there.
