Qryche11
I heard he will be the honored guest at the Oak Hills HS stag coming up soon. I found this picture and thought it was pretty cool. What are your thoughts on Pete's accomplishments and do you think he deserves a spot in the HOF.
Rush2112
Yes, he belongs. He's addiction to gambling is no worse than drug addict.
Qryche11
Yes, he belongs. He's addiction to gambling is no worse than drug addict. I agree with that but betting on the game was a no no and he knew better. I just think they should accept his apology and atleast induct him posthumanously. mcpapa
I agree with that but betting on the game was a no no and he knew better. I just think they should accept his apology and atleast induct him posthumanously. My guess is that is what will happen. Just a guess.
bigblueinsanity
He should be in the HOF no question. What he did on the field speaks for it's self.

nkuclubbaseball19
What Pete did as a player should get him in the HoF. What he did as a manager isn't deserving of the HoF.
Royal Uncle
Put him in the HOF as a player. The betting was a decision he made as a manager. His-on field accomplishments have nothing to do with his off- field choices.

MountainThunder
He deserves to be there as a player.
coldweatherfan
I'm not a Reds fan. Actually, I can't stand Pete Rose. But, IMO he should be in. He's one of the best to ever play the game. Yes he messed up, but who hasn't.
DragonFire
I'm not a Reds fan, but that Pete Rose is out of the HOF while we have some others that are in despite doing things I consider far more despicable is a travesty. If your goal is truly to have the best players in the HOF, he belongs in.
Wireman
Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame and he should be in before he passes.
ladiesbballcoach
Hope his message at the stag is different than the one he gave to the Boy Scouts. If you don't win, you all are all losers. No, shouldn't be in. Does he deserve to be in? Yes. Should he be? NO. Why not? His own arrogance in thinking that he was bigger than the rules of the game. ladiesbballcoach
BTW, all of his accomplisments and records are in the HOF. The discussion is ONLY on Pete Rose, as a person/player. His accomplishments are there.
