Elliott will roll through the "All A". They might have a game or two that is fairly close but I just can't see anyone beating them. It's not like they will lose their focus and someone will catch them off guard that is what happened last year in the 16th region All A against Rose Hill and I can't imagine them letting that happen again.

I'm not sure about the boys, but Hazard won both with their girls team in the late '90.

I think that was hashed out to the point of nausea back then?? Is there really a need to revisit??

Obviously, Elliot County is the favorite, but whoever comes out of the stacked 9th region may be able to give them a game.

Not on the boys side.

 

There have been 3 on the girls side.

 

Nicholas County in 1993, Hazard in 1997, and LCA in 2007

You know you're right, tainted was a bad choice of words!! It was a nice, once in a lifetime story of a bunch of kids who grew up in a small community playing together for years, and then having a chance as middle schoolers to represent their local high school in both the All "A" and big dance, before they took their act on the road to multiple high schools and one to the NBA. It was really tragic that St. Henry, who actually fit that discription; beat them in the finals!! My bad!!

Elliott Co. is the favorite. I think everyone would agree with that. I also believe Hazard and Shelby Valley should be considered contenders as well.

Which bracket is the 16th (Elliott) in Shelby Valley or Hazards. I have not seen the bracket.

Hazard is 14th and Shelby Valley is 15th. 16th would meet 15th in the semis, and 14th in the finals.

Shelby Valley is still nursing a few injuries and would need to be at full strength to even get to Elliott County.

I hope Elliott win's it all, but they will not just waltz to the State final's! Shelby Valley and Hazard two teams I am familiar with are very tough. I am sure there are some more around the state that are very good as well!!!!!!!!!!
