I will take Roark in a NY minute if NL does not want him. He is a great young coach and will be a good head coach one day. This is a huge mistake to let this young talent go. Come on up to Grant County good buddy and we will take care of you...

 

I agree with this 110%. I think they are leaving that up to the new head coach, whomever that will be. I know that if the new coach asks around, he will find a TON of support for Andrew among the Jaguar faithful. I love this guy and hope he is around for my soon to be born grandson to play for in the future!!! :thumb:

 

A few years ago, I know that several South Laurel parents were trying to get the Cardinals to hire him away from Bell County. He is a keeper!

I have heard nothing but good things about Coach Roark. And I thought he would get the job personally, but the longer this hiring takes, I think that he is not getting the job. If it was him it would of been done a lot quicker. I heard that they have another interview Monday and they are hoping to have something in the next week. If everything falls into place.

Hardworker and loves the kids. That is one they will be sorry to let go it that happens. Bell Co will take him.

The new coach is scheduled to be announced by the end of the week. I believe that everyone at North Laurel will be very pleased with who the new head coach is going to be, ... I know that I am pleased as punch! I cannot reveal anymore than that, but I think that the new coach is a GREAT hire and a long term hire.

 

Hats off the Jimmy Durham & Mike Black for finding an excellent coach. Press conference should be held by the end of the week if not sooner!!

The reason it wasn't mentioned (I believe) is that many thought he would apply last time when Abbott was hired, but he did not. He felt he needed a few more years as an assistant. I believe the timing is right and he will be an EXCELLENT hire!

 

I have known Chris since he was a little kid and he LOVES the game. Has a fiery attitude and is a competitor. He will challenge the kids to get better, and I believe they will respond.

Yes. He was on Tom's staff at Rock. Don't know exactly what his responsibilities were with Rock? Parkey was the top offensive asst. and Saylor on defense. Not sure if he coached last year or not??? Kind of a against the grain hire IMO.

Chris was an assistant at Rockcastle Co with his dad for 18 years. He was the top assistant for the offense and helped to make many decisions during the game. Parkey worked with the QB's in practice. Chris worked with WR/DB's. He helped in the off season every day and worked in charge of the agility workouts. Excellent person that gets along with kids very well, but believes in hardwork. He was also the special teams coach.
