Cov Cath will have to get Holmes players in foul trouble, the earlier the better. If they can soften the middle, it will allow Maile to drive and draw fouls.

Thoughts?

Actually, CovCath will be coming off a victory over Cooper. There was a triple header in Park Hills yesterday.(Frosh, JV, Varsity) Cov Cath won all three. Don't remember the exact scores though for all three. Varsity was Cov Cath 63 - Cooper 29

On a side note, hopefully the two Colonels hurt during action are ok. Both Heimbrock and Connelly rolled ankles. (Connelly during varsity and Heimbrock during JV.)

Holmes should win easily.....but this is Cov Cath and I have seen stranger things.....;)fooled ya :scared: Holmes by 15+

Holmes travels to Park Hills Wednesday to take on the Colonels.

Holmes comes in 13-1 after a win against Holy Cross and can wrap up the #1 seed in the district with a win.

I think this will wrap up the #1 seed. IMO, Holmes will play CCH in the first round of the districts at HC.

The district is at Holmes, not Holy Cross. Beechwood gave up their right last year to Holmes, but this does not affect the rotation schedule, which has Holmes according to the KHSAA.

No, It's at Holy Cross this year. I have contacts that have talked to both Anne Julian and Clay Eifert and all have said that it is at HC this year.

According to a person at the KHSAA, they say Holmes.

I can't see why Holmes would not get it since it was Beechwood's decision to give it up to Holmes last year.

Does it really matter? IMO: It doesn't since Holmes is going to win it pretty easy anyway.

Holmes win this one. By at least 15 lol.

But I think CovCath will hang in there for maybe a half. I also think Isler has the ability to frustrate Pittman, because he is physical and I have seen Pittman and know he doesn't like that. Isler fully expects an ear full from him Wednesday night lol. I'm def. worried about the guard positions, because I don't see any of our guards hanging with Riley.

Should be fun to watch regardless lol.

If it is at Holmes then the head people at Holy Cross need to be told, but right now i'm going to go with what they are saying.

But back to the topic I see Holmes winning by 10-15.

This game always bring the fans out. I hope the student section will be in full force. As for the game I like Holmes by 12. I look for R. Johnson to get around 20 against the smaller Cov. Cath guards. Holmes should get get a few break aways, with how Cath. has been turning over the ball. I think Cov. Cath. will probably keep it close through three from the outside. Holmes outside defense isn't that good. It seems like every team they play is on fire from three, this isn't a coincidense. In the end Holmes will be to much on the glass and off the dribble.

I'm sure Pittman will be in his ear ALL NIGHT.

Pittman likes to "talk" to the opponent guarding him throughout the game. Zach should expect a "You're not gonna score on me" from him before the first tip.

BTW, who will be the 5th starter for CCH? I was thinking either Mashinot or Thelen?

I don't know much about the team for CCH but would Counts be considered? He is a physical body who can play guard for them.

lol, Zach doesn't play into kids like that. Pittman wants that to get into Zachs head, but it doesn't work. I think in the end Zach might get into Pittman's head a bit. That being said, I think both will have fine games. But I know Zach is ready/expecting the mouth to run from Pittman; won't be surprised. Thelen and Wellbrock also don't seem to let that stuff into their head.

I'm hoping the lineup looks like:

Ives

Maile

Thelen

Wellbrock

Isler

Doesn't matter how many guards we have in, it doesn't make our guard play better, so why not go with the bigger lineup against a huge lineup lol.

But I know L's style and I'm willing to bet Maschinot or Pauly are starting as opposed to Thelen.

Counts is a four mostly. Has a horrendous outside shot, but offers some physicality inside. He'll be a nice surge off the bench for a couple minutes, but tends to get out of control and that won't benefit us much vs Holmes.
