He must be impressive in workouts or something because as much attention as he garners, it just doesn't translate onto the field in my eyes. Sure he is a great players but every national announcer is high on him and he gets burnt, not often, but much more than he should. I'm still not sold on his tackling either.

Lindley has been a very good corner since he stepped on the field as a freshman at UK. Every corner gets beat sometimes...its the nature of the position.

I think he needs to stay and put on 10-12lbs. of muscle to be able to compete in the NFL without getting hurt. He is around 175 and that's too light IMO to handle the big rreceivers in the NFL.

That's always been my question...his size. At his current weight, my guess is most teams would use him as a nickel corner.

I think some injuries hampered him the latter part of the year because the first part of the year, he was as good a shut down corner as I have seen play at UK.

I agree he needs to put on some weight as that hurts him somewhat in his ability to get off blocks and provide outside run support. Without the pads , he really looks very thin.

He has already set school records for passes defended and has only been playing for 3 years.

There were a few times also this season that the commentators stated that he got burned, when in fact some of those were not his assignment based on the coverage, and a few times, they just named the wrong player.

I agree with this post and have been told this is also part of what the NFL scouts are saying as well!

I said it in another post on another thread that Lindley has all the cover skills to be a solid NFL corner, but he is not put together like a NFL corner. Corners in the NFL have the bodies of Greek Gods and are some of the best athletes on the field. They have exceptional acceleration and world class quickness. Lindley is an elite college corner, but does not seem to me to be ready for the physical play of NFL football. I hope he stays, but even if he goes I hope he proves me wrong.
