January 8, 200917 yr He doesn't seem to have that absolute BLISTERING speed that is needed by a CB to be a 1st round pick in the NFL....and believe me, getting roasted in one half of play is not going to help his status. He should come back, but likely won't, and then will be disappointed in where he fell.
January 8, 200917 yr If he goes and is 100% healthy, he is a late second-early third round guy in my opinion.

I believe you are right, although I think that all the injury problems he suffered through this year is the reason forcing him to make the jump. He realizes that he is just one injury away from never playing in the NFL, but the injuries will also lower his value to the scouts.
January 8, 200917 yr Good luck Trevard. Thanks for 3 great years. I hope you are a success at the next level. I'll be cheering for you.

I think you are right, but this kid needs to be given better advice. The injuries are part of the reason his NFL stock is plummeting. He is not a first rounder, I would doubt even a second or third rounder. This is even in a draft that does not have the type of cornerbacks that have been in other drafts. He would need to have a killer combine workout, but will not, in part, due to the injuries. The smart thing for Trevard Lindley to do would be to return to UK for his fifth year.
January 9, 200917 yr Lindley is a little longer in the tooth than most juniors. He was a grayshirt then a redshirt... I wish him luck.
January 9, 200917 yr Lindley is a little longer in the tooth than most juniors. He was a grayshirt then a redshirt... I wish him luck. You are right. He grayshirted his first fall at UK in 2004 to give him ample time to rehabilitate a dislocated knee cap from high school. He was redshirted in 2005. Started in 2006 and made some freshman all-American teams. He will turn 23 next month.
